Centres for flowers? Empty Centres for flowers?

Post by lyndaejane Mon Jan 26, 2009 6:31 pm

What does everyone use for the centres of their Prima and other flowers? I often find that somehow a button, brad, eyelet, gem, dab of Stickles or whatever doesn't look right (or with the tiny flowers are too big) but am stuck as to what to use.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Lynda

I tend to use either a gem of some sort or brad, not sure what else to suggest as you seem to have things covered on your list.

I have some little tiny flat backed glass bead type things - I think they're called zoomz (available from Stampgalaxy ) - they're quite good if you're after something different. Other than that - brads, crystal brads, perfect pearls, stickles, smaller primas, eyelets, erm diamond glaze maybe?

I use gems and I have some very very small bead things that I first put glue in the middle then sprinkle on these, they are great on flowers with large center's.

Yes, I too use those Zoomz, or alternatively small beads, gems or brads ... particularly like the tiny frosted brads as they always look so lovely. On larger flowers I sometimes use those very, very tiny bead thingies that you use with some PVA glue in the centre, sprinkle on the tiny beads and then shake off the excess. Oh and I sometimes use an embossing pen, then embossing powder and heat them.
