The Atc's for Geri's swap
I am so pleased that the Atc's have started to arrive. i will be ecstatic when they have all arrived.
I am sorry to say, but my photographs looked ok on the preview, but when i tried to get them ready for posting in the gallery, i see that they are rubbish photos, just tried taking some again and they are rubbish, so i will wait til Teabag can photograph them for me. I tried several settings and flash, macro etc, but noluck, something isn't right, they are all blurred.
I will use any photos i can salvage and then add the ones teabag will take..in the meantime, if anyone wants to take their own pics and pop them in the gallery, that would be great.

First of the photos, as taken by the infamous 'Teabag'
Geri's atc was about the Spanish New year tradition...you must eat one black (purple) grape for each of the 12 bongs of the clock on New years Eve, will edit this post with the rest of the tradition. (she really wishes she had used all of her skills to make hers really stunning, but that's what happens to us all when we delay putting our ideas into a project straight away)
this is the greek tradition.
will update to explain...but as you can see, it is a super opening one with full explanation which folds out. Brilliant ATC by Sarah.
Sarah's atc says 'In greek tradition St Vasilis Day (father xmas) brings presents on January 1st. A simple sponge cake to celebrate New year is made with a coin hidden inside, the head of household ceremonially cuts the cake, whoever gets the coin piece, has good luck for the rest of the year. on the fold out piece, there is a recipe for the cake.

Re: The Atc's for Geri's swap
This is a stunning Japanese New Year Traditions atc by Rosie....
This is a gorgeous Atc about the New Year Tradition in Scotland by Chloe. You really have to see this to get the real effect, the background is so pretty and it changes colours as you hold it and move it. Chloe, in common with everyone who joned in, you have shown a real talent. I especially love the shiny bit on the wings.
Cloe tells us that in Scotland, pieces of holly were put out to keep the mischevious fairies away. Does it work with norty crafters chloe. x
KT kindly joined the swap and made a yummy red Atc about the Chinese New Year Traditions.

Geri says, people start laughing at one another, but if you spit them out or don't do all 12, you get back bad luck... perhaps we should try it at the next crop...the pics will be great....

it is really difficult to do. You are allowed to 'prepare' the grapes by removing the pip, and takign it off the stalk.
