Rajasthan, India
Here's a layout I have been working on today in odd moments. The gold (very typical India!) is bright holographic card, but it doesn't show up all that well on the layout. The lace at the bottom is glittery gold too.

maria as far as i can read it was a maharajah manjingh who the widows threw themselves onto his pyre, after making the hand prints , and yes they did sleep in that tent and washed from buckets !!!

Re: Rajasthan, India
Thanks Kim! I think she might need glasses now she's a year older, don't you? Widows always threw themselves on the funeral pyre, thinking life wouldn't be worth living.

Re: Rajasthan, India
The girl was a dung gatherer, collecting cow dung from the streets and making it into pancake shapes to be used as fuel for the fires.

Loving the chat as much as the LO on this one, I bet it looks even better IRL with that gold on it. Have to agree Maria, looks like a visit to spec savers for you next time you're over here LOL
