HELP.... Empty Re: HELP....

Post by Guest on Thu 18 Mar 2010 - 16:37

I have a problem. They say things come in threes. My oven and
shower broke down - now it's my (4 month old) printer. Kodak agree that the
printhead needs replacing and they are going to send one, but it could take up to 3 weeks. I was hoping to print my bits off for Karelyn' CJ tomorrow and be able to post to Maria on Monday. That
isn't possible now so I think the best thing would be to post on to Maria and have the CJ back at the end of the run or if anyone does theirs quickly, they could post onto me in between. If it takes ages for the print head to come, then Maria is
going to get the book very very late and that will put her out.

What do you think ???

Bloomin pc spat me out again just as I was about to reply.
Suggestion to be taken or left; I think I may have put a spare page in, if so keep back the back of my rhs and post off to Maria as planned, the bit should have come by the retreat which would allow you to stick it in there, but still pass it on at the allotted time, I have a scan of my page so I could email that to Maria so she can see the other half if she feels the urge, and you could perhaps give her an outline of what you are doing.
You never know, it might come quickly Kodak were brilliant with our camera.
What think You Maria?

Helen had the CJ in between. I see you have alternated the pages to white/patterned and mine are white, so I'll cut two the same size (I would have covered them anyway) and as soon as I
get my printer sorted I will do your pages. I'll bring them to the retreat and whoever has it at that
time can put them in for me.

well Im a bit confused but I expect it will all make sense when I see it.....

Steph, if you send it to me , I will do my pages and will bring this cj to the retreat with me to pass along to Tina and you can put your pages in(as long as you bring them) before it goes to her.

or even better, what if I do my pages and bring them and the CJ but not stuck in and you bring your done pages and then you can stick yours to Helens as planned and I can then stick mine to yours and then we pass to Tina. How does that sound? I mean if we've both done them it cant take that long to actually stick them in.

what do you think?

That sounds a good idea. I'll send to you and we'll sort with Tina at retreat. Up to you if you stick yours
in. I suppose they don't have to be in strict order do they ? Nothing wrong with mine being after
yours, or you can leave my pages blank. It will all work out fine.

Stick 'em where you like, HELP.... Icon_biggrin I'm really not even going to know what order they were meant to be in, do what's easiest for all, don't worry about it that's the main thing, I'm sure it'll be done by the end of the CJ year.

Or, email me the pics and text you want with sizes needed, I'll do it and then post them straight back to you the same or next day.
If you get them sent, you may still have them back for Monday or at least, be only a couple of days late sending to Maria. It will also stop any build up of CJ's. Mr Green

Your choice, hun.

I hadn't thought of that but I packed it all up last night ready to go to Maria.
Don't worry about a backlog or anything, I will make sure they get done and
get passed on. I'll be fine once the printer gets sorted.
Thanks for the offer Loves ya

well ok then, I'll stick mine to Helens then Steph and bring it with me to the retreat where you can add yours in before we give it to Tina. As long as Karelyn doesnt see it I cant see any problem and thanks again for sending it early, which means I will get a chance to do it before leaving for the retreat.

If you get the next one done and want to give it to me to bring back to save some postage I will save room for it, it will just have to be prioritised.

I was going to say. If anybody IS bringing a CJ to the weekend, then the owner MUSTN'T see it. Secret must be kept, lol. Wink

Ok, Steph. No prob, hun. Mr Green

Maria, the one you take back will take the place of the one you're bringing, so no extra space needed. Mr Green

Karelyn's CJ is very small - it's 6 x 6 and very light - not like mine.

Post by WeirdCat on Fri 23 Jul 2010 - 9:42

I have a little problem with Kim's CJ, in the theme rules it says an artist that I admire and why and so forth but the cj itself says famous artists. I know famous artists stuff but there's no one out there who I could say wow I truly love his work like I can say about my favourite artist. I don't think my artist is famous, very well known in certain circles but not famous. That said I have looked through the book (fantastic BTW) and I don't recognise the names of three of the artists done by people, this could be due to general ignorance rather than anything else but now I don't know what to do, Kate has also seen it and is in a similar situation

take it that as " famous artists " means known in certain areas/ circles . what i meant is not necessarily world wide famous but not just the man off the street sort of person
