IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO ( 5 secs ) a Taybarns restaurant which is eat as much as you like lunches for £5.99 and eat as much as you like evening meals for £7.99
Also locally is a

pizza hut
nandos
24 hour tesco .....for that extra bottle of wine !!

The meeting room is 2 rooms with the centre taken out and is costing £400 for the 2 days , so the more people we have , the cheaper it is ,obviously we do have limits for space though .I shall just split this between however many people we get to go .so, say we get 18 ppl it will be £22.50 for the weekend plus your £3.75 ,plus your room which you will be having to book for yourselves just like the last retreat ,i think that works better than 1 person booking them all .

ROOM PRICES are £47 per room per night
so all in all it will be around
47.00 room ( if you share )
£3.75 tea / coffee (2 days )
£15 max breakfast (2 days)
£16 evening meal (2 DAYS) approx
£22.50 meeting room (if 18 go ,it could be less or more )

so an average of £103.75 per person if you share a room for 2 nights


I think that is quite reasonable ,dont you ?

as of 8th january 2010
well thats 19 or it could be 18 so the room charge is currently standing at £24.85 ( if jane goes ) or it could be £26.25 (if jane is unable to go ) per person incl tea and coffee in the meeting rooms , unless anyone drops out nearer the time , then obviously it will be more .
Anyone wishing to join us for the 1 day only the cost will be £15 this is half of the price of the room plus the £3.75 for tea and coffee . Day spaces will be strictly limited .

Your responsibility is
...to pay me the above amount , so i can then pay for the meeting rooms and tea and coffee.( before mid march please )
...book and pay for your room
...book and pay for brekky
...pay for own evening meals and any drinks
...pay for own lunches
...make a cake or savouries to share with all of us 2010 RETREAT INFO Icon_wink
...bring your clothes
...bring your equipment and stash
...pack up any kits etc for lorraines challenges
...make sure you get to the right premier lodge as there are 2 in coventry( check postcode cv2 2sv)

ok thanks lorraine so the rule about new people going on the retreat is that they have to join and be very regular active members for quite a while to join us on the retreat .Once we get to a certain number anyway we will have to stop taking names as we dont want to be too cramped up do we ?

ok , i have now confirmed the weekend ,the meeting room is all booked up .
now we have to decide the best way forward .
id rather this be a joint decision so listen up ......the room is £400, so between at least 18 of us its £22.50 each + the tea and coffee moneys of £7.50 each for the weekend . we dont really have to pay it til the actual weekend but i dont want to be fannying around getting all the £22.50's from everyone then paying ,id much rather have it before hand ,so i can just pay it in full all together before we go to our rooms .
so, when do you want to pay it ladies ??

Also it must be said here that if anyone drops out ,the cost of the room per person will increase a little likewise if we get more it will drop .
now i know you have got to trust us ( me or lorraine ) with your money if you pay in advance but i promise i will not go shopping or anything silly like that ,if you pay me in advance it will be put in our safe . If any of you would like to pay bits n bobs to eek out the cost of the weekend then i can put this in my safe in individual envelopes with your names on ,then hand it back to you at the retreat .its entirely up to you
OR if you can come up with anoither way of doing it thats fine say so here and we can have it up for discussion /thoughts .

Phew what a lot of chat about cuppa, what on earth will happen when we start talking about the alcohol? LOL
I really don't mind what happens as long as I can have a cuppa at some stage and there's water available but the £3 whatever seems very reasonable.
Have you got paypal Kim? If not, I can send a cheque, just being lazy. It would be good to have a little bit of the cost paid for already then do the rest later.

Was just thinking last year we had internet access in the meeting rooms, will that come with the cost of the rooms or is that an additional fee? Be nice to have access to the net & I'm happy to bring my laptop with me for people to use!

You're right, Kate: there was a chilled water facility at the last meeting room so Billie should be OK. And I think the Internet access was an additional fee, but I don't think it was too expensive.

But they do charge when transfering money from one paypal account to another, and they charge a lot, Lesley got stung transfering from and old account that somehow got on to her ebay sales to my new account.

I was thinking about that, Kim: it wouldn't be right if you had to pay a fee to receive the money through PayPal. But, as you say, they have changed some of the rules now so maybe you should check with PayPal to see if you can receive money without a charge.

You pay to receive money into your paypal account. So, if I sent Kim £20 via paypal, she would pay to receive that into her PAYPAL account. Transferring funds between your paypal and UK bank is different, so Kim would pay at the first step.
Cheques (or PO's) it should be.

I never realised that, I've sent people money by paypal before and no-one's mentioned it, it's just quicker and done while I think of it, I will remember to get a cheque in the post as soon as required. Not that simple round here to get to a bank to get them all put in, depends where you live I suppose.

well i dont think it will be til after christmas anyway unless you want to send it to get it over and done with ,or send it in smaller amounts .if that makes it easier for some people i can organise that too as i said earlier ,i will pay chqs into my account , wait til they have gone through ,take the money from my account and put it in an envie with your name on( in the safe ) till you have paid in full .then sign you off as paid up .also would be happy to save up more for you so you have some saved up to spend on the meals /room/drinks etc .

ok folks i so hate to do this 2010 RETREAT INFO Icon_sad 2010 RETREAT INFO 871363 but.... i will be dropping out. i was thinking in bed about this trip and thought omg our 10th anniversary is 2 weeks after the retreat and if dh wanted to plan something special i.e. a getaway for the 2 of us then we wouldn't be able to afford it. so i'm sorry but i'll be passing on this weekend.

now i hope dh takes the hint because i mentioned it to him this morning lol.
