Right, I'm afraid I've not been able to do much. Couldn't get a meal deal due to the fact that Taybarns run their own show and there is lots of competiton in the area. Unlike Touchbase who had some control over the restaurant.

The only thing I could manage was a free day for tea and coffee. So, it will be 3.75 per person for the whole weekend. It is not a machine, we will be making our own. Cold water, squash and BISCUITS will be provided in this price.

I tried to get us a buffet lunch thrown in but again, it would be Taybarns food and she doubted they would agree. It will be cheaper for us to go buy our own lunch from somewhere else.

So, as Kim stated:
Room 47 per night.
Brekky 15 for weekend
Dinner is actually 8.49 for all you can eat, so will be 17.00 for the two nights.
Tea/coffe 3.75 for weekend.

Meeting room price of 400 to be divided equally among us.

The meeting room will be ours for the weekend, so no need to move our stuff. It is locked and secure with only us and staff that will have access. The tables in the room will be set out as we want. I've suggested 3 table layouts to sit 6 (ish) for our own workspace and another table layout for any lessons etc. The room is Air Conditioned.

They will arrange with Taybarns that we ALL eat together for breakfast (well, those that are up, lol) and Dinner at 7.30 pm Friday and Saturday night.

thanks for doing this for us lorraine. now i know exactly (or thereabouts) what i'll need. i'll tell hubby and tina. approximately 130 for weekend. not bad. we'll only need extra if we go to tescos, cinema, bowling etc. pretty good i'd say.

Thanks for doing all this, Lou - you're a star! Shame that it's make-your-own drinks: cuts down on crafting time! Hopefully we can work something out about lunches, to save us having to go out both days to get food. Maybe some of us could cook savouries instead of cakes? Shame it will be too early for the tomatoes, though! We have one of those mini-fridges which maybe we could store stuff in - or is there a fridge in the meeting place? Assume if they're providing tea and coffee there would have to be somewhere for milk to be stored. Guess we were spoiled at the Nottingham one.

oh well its a saving on the price of the coffee for 1 day , but looks like the meals at taybarns have gone up a little . not too much though .50p i think it is .
i told you they would not budge on the meal deals or owt but no harm in trying again hey !! crafty monkey !!

you dont have to pay a penny when you book jane ,all you have to do is leave a credit /debit card number with them , any money for the room is only taken when you arrive so it may be best to book earlier . i would if it were me .

I'll book this week if I remember as I want a ground floor room near the entrance, did we establish if there was a fridge and if so how big? Am quite happy to bring a bit of buffet stuff with me. If there isn't one then I'll bring Mat's little fridge with me so we at least have room for the odd bottle of wine and milk.

I think Tesco's will make up things in bulk like plates of meat,barmcakes etc so that might be worth checking out. So for example if there was a fridge I could bring Costco barm/sandwich fillers and then people could make up their own. After all I will be going in Costcos direction as Krispy Kreme are next door, Costco also do an enormous chocolate fudge cake and carrot cake!LOL

Well, so far the food sounds fabulous - worth coming for that, without the crafting!

No, Ruth, I don't think we found out definitely about the 'fridge. I assumed there was one, because if the tea/coffee is DIY then there would have to be somewhere for the milk if it's not being dispensed by machine - unless, of course, it's that awful long-life stuff in little pots! But I will bring our portable fridge: don't know if it will hold everything so maybe if a few of us bring them we can accommodate everything.
