Promarkers Empty Promarkers

Post by Guest on Tue 2 Feb 2010 - 15:24

Ok, I just found out I love these markers. They make a bad colourer a good one. I am not good at colouring in at all never have been. But I stamped an image and coloured in and it looks gorgeous.

So, what sets should I start with. I have the skin tones. I was looking on Joanna Sheens website and she has excellent prices with free p&p. so please help me decide which set is the best to go for. some of the 5 sets or the 12 or the illustration pack or the magna pack. i would love the mega deal but can't afford that one.

please help.

jane there is a post about these before, try in the search. Lorraine did a lot of research into these and I for one followed her advice and bought from the place she got hers. My shop does them single too at £1.99 each.

I have quite a few now and they are lovely as you say.

HERE you go, Jane. There's some info in this thread and if you search for Promarkers, we've had quite a few discussions on them.

Cowling and Wilcox have a sale on at the mo and packs of 5 are £3.95. BARGAIN!!!!

jane i think it very much depends on what sort of colours you prefer .i buy them singly now but when i first started my collection i bought the packs , i have ended up with some doubles though through buying the packs .
as for the skin tones , the ones i mainly use for skin are not from my skin tone pack !!as you would say ...go figure !!

i found it best to make a chart so i can see what shades i have bought and what im lacking in . i can take a piccie if you like .so you can see what i mean

There is actually a leaflet chart that promarkers sent to the shops with the promarker stands. I will try and get hold of a few. They are small purse size things, with each colour, inc the new ones, and a circle in each to tick off.

Thanks Lorraine for heads up on 5s. I'll have to have a look, though its likely I've got them all that are in the 5s...though I do need the grey's x

Ooo there are three packs that have colours I want, but two in each pack I've already got. I figure that at £12 for 15 pens, 9 of each I haven't got thats still only £1.33 a pen and our shop selling them at £2 a pen. Mmmmm me thinks I need to go get my credit card Mr Green Mr Green plus they've got the studio tac sheets on offer which are like the microdots. Good with vellum. Have used them before.

I'm still short on greys so might buy the pack from Lorraine's link.
The rest of the packs I already have or there is only one in each pack
I haven't got. Shame at that price.

the pictures are on every page hun, if you look at the home page its at the bottom, I'm currently on a search page and its there. I think it was just their christmas pictures.

But the teal colour is closest to Azure (one of the new ones) and a cross between Aegean and Cyan (old range).
Warm Grey 5 for back deer and front deer Shale.

I've just held up my colour chart to the picture and thats what they look like Mr Green

well sue, from my first use, i'd say they are the best. i love that you can't tell where you coloured, i.e. no lines. even if you are bad at colouring in you can't go wrong.

that's what I did Kim - I printed a colour chart - pretty sure it was off the
Letraset site and have ticked all those I have and marked those
that I have ordered. You can also see where the gaps are as well.

Just got together with my sil in Kent to split postage, or even get free if she spends enough, great offer this. Took me forever to find the site though, don't know why. Found it through portfoliosplus eventually.
Lots of lovely pens for me then, yum yum.

For those of you that haven't got a colour chart yet, I've had a look at a few tonight and LETRASET is definitely the best one and it shows all the new colours too. They also have a BLANK one to download, which is extra handy as you can fill in what you've got and the blanks are very visible for what you need/want. Mr Green

ive just bought the 6 sets on cow site at £4.95 a pack thing is ive got no purple or orange for a start and im puzzled at the 5 greys had some ideas on another site can you girls give me any ideas what to use them for ive also heard that the belender pen isnt a blender even though its called a blender!!but that it removes some of the ink like a correction pen.
how have you used them say one of you had a card with a bear on and you had two shade on him how did you do it did you just use darker around edges and then just colour in middle bits does this leave lines?
