Watercolour ?
I want to colour a stamped image so that it looks like watercolours, I dont have any water pencils or water brush, so I tried it this way, is it right, I got a plastic square shape and wetted it with a paint brush, then added some colour from a pen, one of the La Plume type pens,to the water patch, then coloured the card in, is this a correct way to do it, or is there another, I dont want to buy more stuff, so trying to use what I have, it looks ok, although it has to dry.

Pat - if it works, then it's the right way to do it! There are loads of ways to colour images and if you are pleased with the end result, that's fabby! Can you post a piccie to let us see?

Yes I will when I get the new stamps I want it for, just practising in advance first, thanks.

Re: Watercolour ?
Pat, I often colour with my marvy's, hun. So yes, that's the right way. Except, I colour a patch of pen onto my plastic surface and then put a wet brush into that. If I only want a small amount of ink, I pick it up directly from the pen nib.
You can also use dye ink pads, hun. Same way. Press them onto a plastic bit, or tile or non-stick craft sheet and put a wet brush into them the same way.

Re: Watercolour ?
Be interested to see the end result Pat.
I bought a set of watercolour pencils from the pound shop (Bic make) and also have a tin of Early Learning ones that are years old as they were originally Neils - he used to draw a lot when he was young. So you don't need to buy expensive ones.

I've bought these and they're FAB! They're exactly the same as some more expensive ones I bought from Canny years ago - just slightly different packaging.
