Billie - I got you a book box yesterday - and one for me. They are small ones as that
was all they had except for the huge ones. Already put in my Mimi in case
I forget.

er er nothing.
My pleasure - they are just thick cardboard/chipboard ?
They aren't expensive. I would have got more but there was only a couple of others
left and the corners were all bent etc so didn't want those.

Awwww, how lovely of you, Steph.
Right, if you want to do these boxes, you'll need to add some acrylic paint and papers to your list of supplies, lol. I'll supply the gesso.

I only have acrylic dabbers. Not sure if they will 'give out' enought paint,
or if the top comes off.

Just the plain old cheapy ones, Kim.
You don't have to use it if you don't want to, but it helps.

Post by lyndaejane on Thu 1 Apr 2010 - 18:17

I knew I had some odd stuff that might come in handy. Have just come across two things that a friend at Essex Handicrafts gave me, knowing that I make use of some very peculiar items!

1. A huge roll of 2.5" wide bandage. It's quite fine quality, but looks as if it's a 2-ply one. If this is any good for the bookbinding, I will bring it: even if it doesn't get used on the day, if anyone wants some to take home they can.

2. A reel of three-quarter inch tape. It's glazed cotton (if that rings any bells with anyone) but quite fine. Not sure if it's any good for anything.

Lynda

Must remember to tell Judy that her bandage came in very useful! Think I'd better start a box of things that will need to be packed other than what's on the list - oh no: better idea is that I add them to the list I copied from here to my word-processing package.

Question:

Prob the first of many as I get all my stuff together.

Distress Inks:
Is the Luggage tag, a real one-the brown card variety, or can we cut one down ourselves.

Rubber Stamp: Is this different to the image on the 'if you want to paint' list Or is it that we stamp it, then would be painting it. Does that make sense.
I'm not sure if I am supposed to have two different stamps for stamping here.

Smooth Watercolour Paper: I don't think I have any of this, but I do have some card that was told has similar properites to WC, thou Lily may have some, will dig a bit. But if not will someone have some I can beg please.
