Newbie saying Hello
Hi Everyone, just registered and look forward to meeting you all soon.
I mainly scrapbook and make cards although other crafts have come and gone (or are just hiding in the background for a while) over the years.

Oh hello Mary Sue. Nice to have you join us. You picked an unfortunate day to
join as most of us won't be around as we are having a Canny retreat starting
from today and ending Sunday. I'm sure Maria ,Di and Bobs and the others will look after
you . Will chat to you more next week.

Re: Newbie saying Hello
No probs; I noticed that when I was scrolling through the threads. I've not long returned from a retreat I co-organised last weekend but with a smaller group. Hope they all have a great time.
Will get my act together in a few days and sort profile, signature etc

Hello MarySue, nice to see a new face.
I am one of the staying at home ones, very jealous of the girls who are meeting up!
Look forward to getting to know you.

Hi Mary Sue,

Hi all, thank you for the lovely welcome. Perhaps another retreat needs to be organised for those 'left behind'...... Sorry to hear you couldn't get there Maria, better to be safe and know there will be another opportunity at later date.

Re: Newbie saying Hello
yes quite MarySue.
are you based in the UK? and do tell us a bit about yourself (your family, pets, etc - what you like to scrapbook). The others can read it and catch up when they come back and in the meantime I would like to know.
I mostly scrapbook but I do make cards under duress but I think there are more card makers on here. Ruth and Lorraine are both on a DT for promarkers and quite a few do lovely colouring work. There are some good jewellery makers here too - Lorraine, Carol and Jo to name but a few. I think Karin does it too and then there is Tina (scrap monkey) who actually makes the beads.
Anyway, I look forward to you joining in and don't be put off by the quietness this weekend.

Hi, Mary Sue, and welcome to the forum. Until November, Patty and I probably lived the nearest to you (Southend on Sea in Essex), but it's only Patty now, since I moved to North Yorkshire.
Sorry we were all away when you arrived!

Well hello stranger!!!
I know this lady, not sure we should be welcoming her on board, she's as mad as a box of frogs!
This is one of the duo that organised last weekend's retreat I was on.
Good to see you dropping in Sue.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date Â

Re: Newbie saying Hello
Scatty - We're in North Kent, the Medway area, where are your family?
Patty - I have a cousin who owns a bakery in Leigh on Sea. They have two shops the other is in Southend. I can't remember offhand the name of the shop but I'm told it isn't far from the main shopping area.
Lyndajane - I've got family history connections in Richmond, N.Yorkshire as well.
Hi to everyone once again and thank you for the lovely welcome. You're so chatty since the weekend that I can't get a word in edgeways. Didn't you do much talking whilst you were away??

Hmmm....not sure, I'll have to ask again; it is their own business. I've only recently found them as cousins due to a bit of family history detective work.

Know that area well as my nan lived there, my aunt was stuck there with her mum who is still there but finally managed to get a plane back to Alaska today
Re: Newbie saying Hello
Can we stick to MarySue? We're gonna get confuddled otherwise as we have two Sue's already (although one is commonly known as Goaty, lol).
