At my card class last night the owner told us of a new ink pad to rival Momento.

Its the Impress Raised Dye Inkpad. It doesn't smudge or bleed with the promarkers.

She showed us two cards that had been done with them, and I've done an image this morning. All coloured with with the pens.

Much cheaper too. It cost me £2.80 for the Impress where as Momento is about £3.60.

Thought you'd like to know.

Is it a brand new Impress pad because I've used Impress with PMs for
a while. Perhaps it's getting a new lease of life as PMs have become so hugely
popular.

Not sure hun, I know Impess have been around a while, and when we all first started gtting the PMs Velda (shop) did try all the different ink pads she sells to see what was best, hence the Momento in my drawer as this was the one she recommended. Then yesterday she mentioned this one. It maybe that Impress have done something different so that it can be used with the pens.

I'm using a black Impress pad I've had for eons and it works fine.
I like the fine impression that Memento gives though and also Archival inks work.

I have noticed this morning that the impress is a very 'wet' pad. Still its another pad I can use Mr Green I've only got the teardrop black momento so it can be difficult sometimes to ink a larger image.

I've always used impress, great price and good long lasting inks! My first black that I got in 2006 only died this year!

see now i never realised everyone was using different ones. When we first started talking PMs, I thought most people were using momento as this seemed to be the only one !!! Might look at getting a couple of colorus of these.

What about on glossy or acetate, any problems there. Or are we better sticking to stazon

I use Memento but I think I have an Impress Archival that I have also used, thanks for the tip though, when the memento runs out I may have a change. I ran out of one of my Promarkers this week-Ivory

glossy and acetate staz on is best. for acetate you can colour on the opposite side. glossy i've seen them use memento and impress. i've seen them emboss as well to help with using certain inks.
