Now mum had bought Twiz this book for his birthday, so I have come into it and I have to say it is utterly enthralling and I cannot put it down, I havent finished it yet but I recommend anybody who loves dogs to at least order it from the library, its so so fab.

Its called 'the story of edgar sawtelle' by David Wroblewski

Its the best thing Ive read in a year at least.

Yes, I agree Mia. I read it myself and immediately thought of Twiz and so I am pleased you are enjoying it too. It is beautifully written isn't it?

Only on the first chapter, but this one's about a historical investigation about the families past with its links to the abolition of slavery in the States and has quilting as a link throughout the Elm Creek Quilts series. I'm enjoying it, so far. Jenifer Chiaverini is the author and the one I've got from the library is The Lost Quilter. It's a bit of a historical mystery.
