Post by Guest on Sat 4 Dec 2010 - 11:37

Have posted Maria's CJ back to her today. Should go on Monday
(as I post a week early so Maria gets them the same time as
everyone else) but I am not going out in this awful weather so had to
take advantage of Den being here. Him and Lauren went up and posted
that and another parcel this morning.
Can't believe that's been a year since the start of this CJ !!

Wow Lorraine, that was quick work, I wasn't expecting it before Christmas, well done, it had better be a good one though LOL
Helen, yours is on it's way. By the sound of the weather it won't melt on the way either.

POSTED AND RECEIVED DECEMBER 13TH Empty Re: POSTED AND RECEIVED DECEMBER 13TH

Post by Maria on Wed 15 Dec 2010 - 19:10

OH MY GOD!!!! This is utterly utterly fantastic, and although I cant believe its possible, its even better than nursery rhymes. I utterly love every entry. Some of you have done books I love (I almost wept at Cynthia's entry, especially when i got the bit about the ghi which I remembered best and was my fave part) . Others have done books I have never read - Ruths entry is truly fantastic and I couldnt believe there was a blyton I didnt know - I shall go and track it down and read it now, Ruth your entry was so very good, probably my fave in the whole book and you must never again say that you can only do cute. Tina's book too was one I had never heard of but it sounds just up my street and I shall be ordering that too. I loved Kates entry of Milly Molly Mandy - Kate you have done it beautifully and Lorraines Black Beauty utterly encapsulates how I feel about the book. Karelyns own book was enthralling and I lapped all that up and loved it, and Im going back now to read all the detail. Finally, a big thank you to Steph for including both the famous 5 who I loved and the secret 7 who my brother loved (but only if I read it to him) and for posting on time all the way through and for all the extras and lovely thoughts she sent with each one.

I truly love every single entry and feel honoured that everyone has done it so beautifully and its better than I ever imagined it could be. I can only hope that the rest of you are as happy with my entries as I am with yours.

Thank you all, a zillion times over for this truly fab thing. It is the best CJ I have ever seen and i cant beleive its mine. Just WAIT until you all see how lovely it is, and wait until I show Patty.

I fervently hope this post is in the right place... if it isnt can someone move it please. off for another lovely trip down memory lane with it now!

So pleased you love your book Maria - I thought it was wonderful and brought back
many memories for me. I could have chosen the Alice in Wonderland books and
a couple of others but the SS and F5 were the ones which started me on my
love of thrillers/detective stories.

Post by Maria on Wed 15 Dec 2010 - 20:46

well Im glad you did them Steph because they hadnt been done and were very special to me. Have just read Kates MMM story right through and gillians pippi too - Loved Kims gulliver as well, I loved that book too so was glad to see it features. I think i need to do a second volume cos when you remember all these it just makes you remember more. Sue's call of the wild has made me go and search the book out too and this time round I specifically loved Karelyns person in the moon, I have a reall love of moons and suns with faces and people on them and this is VERY lovely, also noticed the fantasticly tiny stamping on Ruths ribbon.

Oh girls, you have done marvellously.

I'd forgotten all about that Maria, glad it's gone down well. It was a lovely one to look through and read, and a great trip down memory lane.
Call of the wild is a classic, you'll enjoy that.
Glad the snowmen got there, fairly quickly too.
I have 2 parcels at the sorting office to collect. Oops this is the wrong thread for chat, sorry Boss, holds out hand for slapping.
