Well I am assured by everyone that 4 lbs is harder to lose than a couple of stone, but I cannot see how that works. I have, however, lost one of those pounds already, which is good, but can't see it continuing this weekend!! Lorraine, what do you go to - SW, WW or RC?

Well, the bonus is that I'm actually doing better than that. I actually started this on a Monday, weighing 13st 1lb, which was four days before going to SW. They weigh me in the evening, fully clothed whereas, I normally weigh on a Monday morning in just my knickers. Mr Green

This morning, my scales read 12st 7.4lbs, so I've actually lost 7½lbs. Jumping for Joy

I am using the SW weights for all my documents and stuff though, just for consistency.

I was gutted on Thursday weigh in. I only lost 1 lb and I needed 1½ to get my half stone award. Very disappointing it was (no wonder I prefer my own scales and morning weigh ins, lol). I had been trying their Extra Easy system where you can have red and green stuff together, but it obviously didn't work well for me. You have to eat loads of superfree foods (veg and fruit particularly) and I don't think I was having enough, so I've gone back to the tried and tested Red and Green days. Mr Green

I've just eaten a quite delicious dinner and was actually gobsmacked. As I'm on a green day, I had some Quorn sausages. The last time I had them, it was like eating sawdust so I thought maybe a bit of gravy would improve them.

I fried the sausages with a sliced onion and a spring onion in Frylight until they browned. Made up a bit of gravy, (3 syns) poured it over the sausages with some peas and mushrooms and cooked for about an hour. You know what? It was lovely and the sausages were a much nice texture. Had it with a baked spud and now I'm full and no cheating either. Mr Green

I'm feeling quite determined at the moment and last night, ordered myself a pair of jeans in Littlewoods sale and a pair of very wide leg linen trousers. Both in size 14. Ooooeerrrr!!!! The number of times I've done that and so still have brand new clothes upstairs waiting - some been there for a couple of years, lol. Anyway, this time...I'M GOING TO DO IT!!!!!!!

I've also started doing a bit of exercise again too. Last night I managed 10 mins on the exercise bike and did 50 ab crunches on my total core. My friend Kathy and Nic both have Wii fits they said I can use too if I want, but I'm very tempted to get my own. They're soooooooooo expensive though, so I'm really thinking very hard about it.

Don't be disheartened. Losing 1lb is better than putting it on, or losing nothing at all.
It will give you something to aim for next week.
We use Quorn products quite a bit and I love the sausages done with onions etc
and a lovely fluffy mash.

Yeah, I've come to terms with it now, Steph. As you say. A loss is a loss eh?

I did have a very good loss the week before and I know the body goes into 'save' mode - like..hey up! I need to hang on to a bit of fat 'cause I lost loads last week. Mr Green

Mine has gone completely to pot this week and today I had a creme egg... dont even want to think about that one, and Ive been guzzling wine and vodka since I got here - just have to hope I dotn put the hard won half stone all back on in one week.

Another 1½ lb gone. Mr Green

I was hoping for 2, I admit, but that means 8 lb in four weeks, so an average of 2 lb a week is nothing to sniff at, eh? Mr Green

Maria, I have a boxful of Creme Eggs in the fridge. Very Happy Scatty sent me them for my secret santa and how on earth I'm resisting the temptation is beyond my comprehension 'cause I love 'em. Laughing I think I'll check the syn count and treat myself. Mr Green

Shame that 1 1/2lb came to me Embarassed (but I can blame it on hormones this week!)

Nothing wrong with a creme egg now and then, just not all of them all at once!

8lbs in four weeks - you should be proud of yourself, Lou!

Problem is with creme eggs that you can't just have a bite and leave the rest till later, like other choccy treats. Can't remember when I last had one - although I do remember that they seemed to have changed them from the previous time and I didn't like it. Probably just as well!

*whispers* took a cream egg to bed last night. Shhhhhh!!!!!!!

I made my sausages in onion gravy for tea again tonight and I'm still stuffed. Problem is, I've got to eat supper and I'm just not hungry, so I think I'll be having 2 Alpen Light Bars for my obligatory Healthy Extra that I still have to get in.

Just done 30 mins on the Wii fit and I'm ....well, I'm sure you can guess. Laughing Hard

I do so wish I could get 2lb off in a week, this is soooooooooo slow. Yes, I know it's the best way, but I'm fed up.

Anyway, I've lost 9½ lb now with the SW scales...a bit more on mine, but I'll check them properly next Monday morning, which gives me exact time from when I first started instead of 4 days later. Oh, have I already mentioned that? Laughing Hard

For goodness sake Lorraine stop wanting to loose it so fast. I used to loose about half pound a week, but it all adds up.

Plus remember, the quicker you loose it the quicker it often goes back on.

You have lost loads so far so just keep it up.

Well, yet again, I got on my trusty Salter's and they tell me that I'm 12 st 2.2 lbs. I'm well chuffed with that, because that means that in reality, I'm only 1½ lbs off my first stone. Mr Green

I will continue going to group for a while, as I do think it's helping to keep me on track, but I'm going to set my target by my own scales as they're the ones I started with. Plus, they seem to like me Laughing Hard They are consistent with the SW ones that weigh me about 3lb over, but with clothes and at night, I know it's right. But, actually seeing the lower weight makes me feel much better. Very Happy
