I just got some promarkers :) looking here for inspiration and hints. May even upload a pic or two.

What ink do you use with yours?

I think if I remember rightly I use Memento, doesnt run. I do try and print a few digi images off the computer but cant always get it right as it sometimes runs at the edges.

I keep saying I will have a look on the link (am sure I have seen it on here somewhere) where it gives you tutorials on how to colour effectively

Am sure someone more experienced will give you better advice

Have you seen the link for Promarkers from Cowling Wilcox its really cheap

Joanna Sheen is the same price of £1.69 and doesn't charge P&P
whereas Cowling's delivery is £4.99 unless you spend over £60.

oooh thanks for the hinks on where to buy :) I got some at the NEC but as a friend had given me some I wanted to buy singley rather then in packs.

Been on youtube for tutorials and have been having a play, got some momento ink today as apparently using stayzon is a big no no.

when we first got the promarkers we were advised to use the momento as they don't smudge, where as the stazon does....since then I've started using impress. Its a nice wet pad and doesn't smudge.

Printing is usually ok but have to leave it to properly dry for a while.

Memento shouldn't run...don't know what's happening there.
Impress, as Kate said, is also very good with them.

Celf, both Ruth and myself have done tutorials on using them too.

Link to the tuts please :)

I was told that as the stazon and the promarkers are both solvent based you can get a chemical reaction between them and that is why you shouldn't use stazon. Got a memento yesterday, it's a teardrop shape as that's the only ones they had in and I keep leaving marks on the stamps so have to wipe before using!

With Promarkers you shouldn't use Stazon or pigment inks - you
need dye based inks of which Memento is one.

Kim if it's working ok for you then stick with it :) I was also told that the stazon can come off onto the pens and muddy the colours, but you seem to be doing ok.

Thanks for the promo code I have just bought a box set and some singles, I think I now have a good collection of colours and have the skin tones as well.

I love promarkers and coloured away on some cartridge paper using peel=offs of fairies for my grandaughter, it was really effective, i know lots of crafters hate peel=offs but i want to use up the peel-offs a the fairies were perfect for doing at the craft evening, just to faff about with. I nwas all wrapped up in them comiong thru the back of the paper, but apparently, its fine...all that worry for nothing . x i thought it was using cheapo paper that was the prob. i use momento, but wish i could use my favourite stazon.

Promarkers do bleed through to the back of most card -
it's because they are alcohol based. There are some special
cards that it doesn't go through, but if you are using it for toppers
or are sticking it on something else, it doesn't really matter.
