Another use for the centre of a roll of tape
Needed something to press down some small pieces of paper I'd stuck to some card. Couldn't remember where the brayer was, but didn't really want to get glue on it anyway, so used the plastic centre from a roll of tape. Smaller centres from wider tapes best for this.

Ha - I did once, Karelyn: or, at least, I'd put a load of them down in our word-processing package. Then we bought a new computer, well-known brand, and it chewed up our disc (this was a long time ago) of files that we wanted transferred from the old computer. So I lost everything. After that, we always did two copies of the disc!

I have days like that, Lorraine! I'm talking about the plastic roundel that single and double-sided tape is wound round - when it's empty, of course. You just roll it over what you've stuck down, like a wheel, pressing as you go. Have I explained it better this time - if not, t's probably my dreadful description!

That would work too, Karin - but would probably mean scrabbling round in the shed or garage to get it! I just needed something that was to hand in the craft room.

Re: Another use for the centre of a roll of tape
I found another use for the centre of the tape-roll when I did the workshop. Saw a fantastic idea on Pinterest, where a woman used a jar-lid to contain her rosette while she glued on the cardboard disc in the centre and weighted it down to dry - kept the rosette in a perfect, round shape. I didn't have 20 jar lids for the workshop, then suddenly remembered the, ahem, large collection of empty tape-rolls I have - perfect!
