Patty at a crop
Did this one yesterday... and am very pleased with it, the design is scraplifted from a magazine, not my own ideas but then most of mine ARE someone elses idea! anyway, I was thinking of mum alot and so it seemed a sensible subject to work on and as I was so dissapointed with my last snow layout I thought I would really try hard with this one. It took all day but I am very pleased with it so it was worth the effort. Just got to get the walnut ink off my fingers now!

Wowee Maria. Honestly ?? I think this is the best LO I have seen of yours.
This is stunning and I think it is gorgeous.
Love the double frame, and the matting, and the papers, and the lettering......
Love it all.

Re: Patty at a crop
It's beautiful, the colours are very Patty, and I'm jealous of all the space she has to crop in.
Is the walnut ink what you've used on the scallops? It looks green, and I thought walnut ink was brown, but I could be very worng.

Re: Patty at a crop
I would be honoured. and I too think this one and the boat one are miles better than what I usually do. The only two things they have in common is walnut ink and they were both inspired by pics I have torn out of old magazines.
The other thing is, it broke my heart to cover up that twelfth night paper and I MUST get over that because it is the love of the paper and not wanting to cover it up that makes me not want to layer them up like this but I can SEE for myself that they are better with more paper and not less. Think Im being too much of a skinflint the rest of the time!

Re: Patty at a crop
Its walnut, all over it (and still all over my fingers). Its just the light making it look green (although there is a delicious green distress ink called shabby shutters but this isnt it, this is walnut)
ranger distress inks, walnut. It was the first one I ever bought.

Re: Patty at a crop
Thanks, I like how it looks here, I guess it's a water consistency and so has a see through effect? Must get mine out and do something with it, then I'd know wouldn't I LOL
