Here is the lovely stash i received from Patty.

Goaties challenge from Patty HPIM2195-1

If you look carefully, you can see the remnant of the beautiful wrapping paper Patty had wrapped it in, pretty sunflower paper...and the parcel had the 2 flowers (one on top of the other, and an orange bow.

I have already used the paper, to its fullest, hardly any waste except the bits with sticky tape on.

Do ya want to see what i have done so far?

Okay, don't shout... Crying Laughin

here it comes.....I used a set i bought of circles on a ring...Ç put the circles through the Xyron machine to make one side sticky, before laying the circl on top of the pretty paper..then i cut around the circles...then i put the other side of the circles through the xyron and repeated the operation.

I had bought (from car boot sale yesterday) the 'THANKS' embellishment...and i used one of the brads to pop throught the flowers, the bow will be on the front cover.

Does anyone think i should just dab a bit of orange on the 'thanks' to make it co-ordinate better?

'Blooming' lovely... Very Happy

I have decided to put the flower on a page with different colours as it looks a little lost on the sunflower paper.

It will be called 'My Brightsider Book' in honour of our Patty being such and inspiration where brightsiding is concerned.

I plan to make each page so that it makes me smile..and i would love a few brightsider quotes to add to it.

brightsider is someone who ALWAYS looks on the bright side of things and does not let any troubles or worries get them down , no matter what happens they ALWAYS find something to be cheerful about ,ALWAYS a good reason to be happy and positive about every experience .
think that just about explains it .

suzy love that badge thing you made above , very pretty

an example of mums brightsiding is, well - Ken has advanced cancer and is dying, but mum still says 'well he is having a better day today' or 'at least the sun is out' or things like that.

I am desperately trying to get some of it to rub off on me, I am afraid I am the opposite and tend to see doom and gloom.

Odd you should say that. That is me and Den. I always look on the bright side
and always see good in something. Den always looks on the blackside of life.
What could happen, what nearly happened etc. He's the doom and gloom
merchant in this house. But as I say to him, thinking like you do, you will
never be disappointed and you may well be surprised at times.

Well Goaty, that's simply lovely and I feel honoured to have a brightsider book named for me!! Hopefully it will inspire you to be a bit of a brightsider yourself, although I already think there's one lurking there somewhere. Glad you liked the wrapping paper too - seemed a nicer idea to wrap your goodies as a parcel, rather than in a plain envelope, so am glad you are enjoying them all. Keep smiling!! I need full strength brightsiding today after the night I had!!!
