You know I had 2/3 ideas last year but can I remember them??? Nope! Teach me to not write them down somewhere, then again if I had I probably would of put the list somewhere "safe" and not be able to find it Tee Hee

Sign me up girls!!

I have only ever done one CJ, (on UKS), and was absolutely thrilled with the end result (shame that 2 out of 10 people never even got their albums back though...).

I'll have a good think about a theme; although the last one provoked some stunning ideas, I may just repeat it...

Ooh great Tina - nice to have you on board. Gill's just posted a list
of possible themes and I posted a list on the CJ chat of last years.
Will be interested to see what you choose.

It was your collection of stuff that reminded me how much I enjoyed CJ's (although I know diddly about Opera affraid affraid affraid ).

Do we have to choose one from the list, or can we do some other theme?

You can select whatever you like - doesn't have to be off any list. The lists
are just helpful if you are struggling to think of something.

I've made my covers and sorted my sign in tags. Just got to do my own DLO and inside pages.

I know we don't have a start date but if I leave it until we do than I'll be rushing to get it finished! Also I had an idea to try for the covers and although it hasn't quite worked how I wanted it will do.

CJ CHAT - Page 3 Empty Re: CJ CHAT

Post by Lorraine Wed 2 Sep 2009 - 22:05

Right girls. I've been pondering over this for a couple of weeks and really didn't know how to tell you, ..I'm so sorry but I really don't want to do this CJ. At the moment, I am just in the wrong place. I haven't made a start and have no inclination to do so.
I know I'm 'getting better' for want of a better phrase and things might change, but right now I just can't do it and I don't want to hold you up.

Anyway, there are some options for you and it's entirely up to you all what you want to do.

1. I will continue to organise it for you. I'll do the dates and the circle and you can carry on.

2. One of you can take over completely.

3. Wait a while longer. Now, I don't want any of you to have any guilt trips, but, I may well feel up for it in a couple of weeks and I also know that Maria would like to join, but it's too early for her. The end of October would suit much better. So, I thought I'd lay it out for you and the decision is yours.

I know you're excited about doing it and getting started, so please, please if you want to, then go ahead. Obviously if you want to discuss this off board (and call me names) pm each other and see what you all think.

Please don't be mad at me.
xxxx

Lou dont feel guilty about it, the fact is I feel exactly the same way as you and noone is going to call you names for it silly!
The fact is you've done 1 a year now for 2/3 years & they do take a lot out of you!

Maybe it might be best to hold off a little while, especially so Patty & Maria can join in!

Lorraine - stop that!! As if we would ever be mad at you. I had a sneaky feeling you weren't liking the idea of this CJ and I think it is lovely that you know us all well enough to say so - and you have put forward all the options too so those who want to get on and do it can do so. I will definitely not be doing another one yet, nor even early next year, because I am determined to leave myself free to come and go as I please where and when I please (and that includes Coningsby so watch out). Thanks for being so frank about it all - someone else is sure to take it on or otherwise people will leave it a while.

CJ CHAT - Page 3 Empty Re: CJ CHAT

Post by Maria Wed 2 Sep 2009 - 22:51

well I must say it does seem rather soon after the last one, and aside from that, crafting is supposed to be a hobby for pleasure and nobody, least of all you, should have to do anything you dont feel 100% up for. I mean you already do so much for us.

fancy imagining that anyone is going to be cross - I hate to think of you sitting there dreading saying anything so just stop it.

If people want to put this whole project off until next year, well, maybe you will or wont feel like joining in but theres no obligation on you and neither will there be then.

If they want to carry on and do it, well, i expect they will be ready for another by the middle of next year and you can do it then (but still only if you want).

From my point of view, i would much rather leave it a while - like you, I am just so not ready and not in the mood.

I am sure I speak for everyone on here, when i say that the most important thing is that you feel happy with things. Now theres lots you cant do anything about but crafting is something you CAN do something about.

I will go with what others decide to do.

I am grateful for your understanding, girls but Cynthia, the last thing I want to do is stop you all going ahead. I really did lose sleep over this, but I'm all over the place at the moment and just don't know what to do.

I'm worried that if I start it, I won't enjoy it and will just be peed off each month when I've GOT to do something and on the other hand, I'm worried that I'll regret it if I don't do it. I really, really don't want to mess any of you about or spoil things for you, so please go ahead if you want to. I know myself, and I'm sure you all know, that it's not like me to let anybody down or mess you around so you can imagine the grief this has been causing me.

I know a CJ is such a small thing in the 'big scheme' of things, but I know it's important to you so all I can do is be honest with you. For all I know, I'll be as right as ninepence next week and raring to go, but I know that doesn't help right now. I am so sorry. Crying or Very sad

lorraine i have been expecting this to be honest ,we know you are not right happy at the moment about something . my feelings are that it goes on hold for a wee while ,i know some of us (including me ) have allready done covers etc but they can easily be wrapped up and wait for when the time is right . We did not have many peeps in it anyway , and later on more might feel able to join in .You must admit , a cj would be better with more than 6 entries in it or however many we had . much better with a dozen in it .
SO little lady , stop your fretting and know that we all love you and wish you to be " in a better place than you are right now " not physically , you understand , but emotionally .

Personally, with everything that has happened with Patty and Maria, and the
way Lorraine and Kate are feeling perhaps it would be better to leave this
until after Christrmas. I am quite happy to leave it for a while, and I am sorry if I
pushed to get one started.
