Here's the layout I did yesterday, taken in Montelparo when we took Ken to see Tim and Maddy's new Hotel project.

I too mum, am so glad he got to go see it. Lovely photot and goes well with the kit (but that sounds a bit boastful because I recall it was me that sorted that out for that!) well done for getting on with it anyway, especially as your class was cancelled.

Lovely photo of the three of them. Smashing layout, the reds and greys work really well together.

WOW - love the papers as they all complement each other, and the journalling boxes. Ken looks really well there - I know he probably wasn't, but he
looks very happy.

Yes, miraculously it seemed as if someone was keeping an eye on him, as he had five perfect days with hardly a pain at all and he was SO excited about being there to see it all as he knew he would never return.

Lovely picture and great papers, I wouldn't have thought of that soft green with the deep red, it looks great. Another top LO.

I love this, its so vibrant and wow. I wish I had just a tenth of your talent, I get so twisted and lost when doing a LO. so much so that I've not done one for well over a year, need to desperately do something.

Well just get out a photo Karin, then choose a couple of papers to go with it and once you get going - well, go where the mood takes you! Just get going!!

Patty's rigtht Karin, and you will find that the more you do, the
easier ideas and inspiration come. I think the secret is not to be afraid
of it. At the end of the day, what have you got to lose ? A piece of paper !

Karin, at the risk of sounding rather big-headed, and I don't mean it that way, I would be more than happy for you to right-click on one of my layouts and save the picture and copy it - anything to just get you going.

It does help. I treated myself to a book of scrapbooking maps
from Amazon. Only flicked through it at present and not used any
as there's been so much else to do, but it will be a great help.

Well Maddy works as some sort of bigshot in a German bank in Singapore, Tim (who obviously wanted to go with her when she was given the job) stopped his own business (house renovation, building and design) and is now at catering college in Singapore making the most of the time out there to learn about hotel management, etc.etc. They own a small (not up and running yet) hotel in Italy - this is where the photo was taken - and have got an attached apartment out there which is finished and ready (and in which we stayed for the week). When they finish in Singapore, they will live permanently in the hotel in Montelparo in Italy. It is a wonderful little hilltop village and the hotel itself is very old, made of stone and going to be quite something when finished I am sure. They have a house in Leigh on Sea too which is rented out and which they hope to sell when the market improves.
