Digi Images
YAY I did it.
Using the link for Charmed Cards I downloaded two lots of bundles, plus the freebies, and I was amazed that as soon as I had confirmed payment, the link was there with the invoice. Briliiant, I expected to wait a short while at least. Thanks Kim for this link
I am going to look up the others that Ruth sent before and see what I can find
Does anyone else download and where from ...... pretty please
Now the big question, what cardstock do you print on?
I have some nice smooth, almost glossy card that is for decoupage printing and whilst it did print brilliant I couldn't colour it in with the promakers.
Not sure what card to use for that purpose.
Now I just need to learn to colour in properly, putting colours together for clothing etc is the main problem I have, flowers and animals not so much.

I got some nice cardstock from the Papermill

Re: Digi Images
Will look them up then KT, what is the cardstock like thou, is it matt etc. I'm at a loss. Might have to just press the pens to everything to see what happens I want to be able to put the marker to the paper and it not 'run' a bit. It goes over the lines when that happens

Re: Digi Images
Funny you started this thread, Karin 'cause I was going to open one about something I use.
One of my fave sites is PC CRAFTER they have shed loads. They have a browser called the Hugbug which installs really easily on your pooter. Any images you download are loaded into this browser and you can see all the thumbnails, enlarged images, black and white, computer coloured, png's..the lot. All their images come in a couple of different formats.
The Hugbug Browser Lite is a free download for you to try and there are some free images for you to try too. If you buy the deluxe version (not expensive) you can actually put any digi images on your computer into a fave folder and keep everything together. It's really, really good.
I also like LOUBY LOO and DAISY MAY and of course, .CUDDLY BUDDLY

Re: Digi Images
Ooo just got two images of Willow, Grace and Bella Fairy. Very cute. Thanks KT
I did look at the hugbug one a few weeks back and downloaded the freebies, but that was when my pc started being funny and not downloading the email, so I did a restore and uninstalled a few things. Not sure if I've still got it on my pooter now. I saw Looby Lou yesterday, but only as a link, will have a look thanks. I worry all the time about downloading stuff and my pc, but I guess I've got to try
Any new software 'freezes' ME!! I always worry I will press the wrong button.
Will take a look at them all thanks Lorraine. xxx

Re: Digi Images
Turns out its still on my PC....title says pcHugBug Deluxe Lite. Have installed it and its showing the freebie images of Lollie and Friends that I saw before. Ahh it is only the Lite I've got, though somehow I'd got something else. I clicked on Favourites in the hugbug left side menu and it brough a pop up to tell me "I'm welcome to buy )
But....in that same menu what does it mean when it says pcHugWare Not Detected.
If I were to download an image from the site would I still be able to use it in this free version, or is the free version only for the free images !!
Sorry for questions, but if I've half got it on PC I might as well try and half use it

Re: Digi Images
I think I've answered my own question, nothing in the file left hand menu will let me go browse my computer. I guess its only the freebie thing. Will have to look at costs for the deluxe version.

Re: Digi Images
OK, panicking now. it finally completed the payment for willow and the two downloads, but there are no links, it didn't ask me for an email address either, am presuming hopefully that it will do it through paypal otherwise how the heck do I get my images.
Will try and see if emails will download today, messed about yesterday again.
OK so panic over, phew !! they obviously got email from paypal system, but I was suprised to see its just an image in a document. When inserting into word I can marginally change the size, but its not idividual. How do you use it Kate.

Re: Digi Images
altered my links. Yeah, yours is right.
You can view all your PC Crafter downloads in the free browser, but you need the bought one to search your hard drive. It's only $12.99 (dollars that is) so not really expensive. I think it's worth it anyway.
Hugbug not detected is because there's no CD in. If you have a CD, it detects all that too.
I like that link, Karin. Her 'Pin Ups' are fabulous.

Re: Digi Images
Just realised it was supposed to say Ravings, not favings...DOH
Right then I am in need of some help, I have been looking at cuddly buddly and there are some WOW things, but I am a bit stuck.
For those of you that use this site can you advise please. These sets, they say clip art, does that mean it would not be done the same way as the others,. I am unsure what the difference between the graphics and clip art ones would be. I don't want to purchase something I'm not sure of
TIA

Re: Digi Images
Clip Art is a generic name, Karin
Cuddly Buddly call all their coloured images clip art and their lineart digi stamps.
The puppies on your link are the coloured images BUT that file also includes the lineart for you to colour yourself.

Correcting my spelling, no less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a first.
Yep, line art. Each description should tell you what you get, Karin. Not all of them come with the images for you to colour.

Re: Digi Images
Ohhh I'm in yet another panic.
I decided to go and have a look at karens doodles, got some cash in paypal from selling my stamp and decided to spend some
Anyway, I love the heffalump but also the fairy princess and unicorn, but so far any I've joined I've only bought one to start with, so have a few but not loads.
Anyway, it took me through the paypal process, I have had an email from paypal............BUT........nothing from Karens Doodles.
Anyone who uses her do you have to wait for her to send you the images or do they come automatically like charmed cards.
I have asked same question on Ruths heffalump thread, so am sorry if you've already answered this there

From what I understood when I read her blurb, Karin she will send you an email herself, so I think, maybe, you have to wait.
I got some from Mo's and was wondering the same thing but I got them straight away.

am i right in thinking you can just copy them over as opposed to moving them over , so you have the images on seperate hard drive as well as the pc . if so , i think i would prefer to do that rather than have to plug in the hard drive and move them before using them IYKWIM

We have an external hard drive which we back up everything on to! Which reminds me, should do that in the very near future
Re: Digi Images
kt_dragonfly wrote:We have an external hard drive which we back up everything on to! Which reminds me, should do that in the very near future
We also have external drive but its attached to martins pc.
I am currently using a 1GB memory stick and have created files for each company on both my pc and on the stick. I am then click and dragging them to the stick, which automatically copies it and doesn't remove it from my pc.
That way its actually on both. What I have done though, is that once the zipped files (like charmed and karens) are on the stick I have deleted that bit from the pc, have just left the opened files on my pc.
I got rosie elephant and twiddly wings unicorn from pollycraft today.
Yes Lorraine they both arrived this morning, so am pleased that it worked out well. I hate doing stuff like this on the pc, am always convinced I will have to prove and fight my corner on money paid out !!!!
Alls well though.

Re: Digi Images
Yes, Kim. Copy them.
When your external drive is connected, you can just drag the folder with your images in across to the external one (in my computer, saves opening it) and it will automatically copy them.
