somemore questions.....

....firstly (I have asked Karin this before) but now I am selling a few in different shops I want to see what you all think, I was given bags an dbags full of recycled Christmas cards last year some that were stunning nothing I had seen before, anyway I made a few cards today using small parts of the recycled cards ( I will post pictures when I get my camera back from my Mums) for example one A4 half fold card had lots on it and a nice glittered christmas tree, I cut this out and used as a topper, along with lots of my backing papers, jewels, charms etc so it looked nothing like the original, what do you think should I sell them or could I get into trouble?

Secondly where do you all get those cute little stands from that you use to photography your cards, I had to chuckle to myself the other day when I took some pictures and to get the best light I held up against the wall in the garden, and my fingers where showing!!! Would love one of these

mine is a cheap stand from ikea ,a mini easel ...99p i think but ruth and lorraine have made their own and are much nicer

forgot to say ..i tend not to use offcuts of old cards no matter how nice they are as im not sure about copyright reg's . i know of one person ,not a cardmaker but an artist who was hawled through the copyright courts for using someone elses images ,so am a bit worried about doing it .
BUT THATS ONLY MY OPINION AND OTHERS MAY THINK DIFFERENTLY

erm, don't know about the copyright, but I would err on the side of caution.

re; photographing stuff, I do it on the floor and stand directly overhead IYSWIM.

I use lots of cut offs from cards, but I use them on my
postcards for competition entries - I don't use them for
cardmaking and I don't sell anything with them on, but I think
you would need to look into it before risking it.

I think I new the answer really, oh well, I will use for cards for the family at least they wont be a wasted

Never really thought about it before, but although I have a box of recycled images I very rarely use them, another of those forgot I've got things. Family would def apreciate them and at least you've a batch ready for giving when you need to.

I tend to put all my cards on my green cutting mat, stand over them and click for the photos. This new camera on my phone takes the best pics by far at the moment.
