Well you're off to a cracking start, well done!!

Are you finding that you have to add veggies and stuff, or are the portions okay?

You get meals for 5 weeks, pay for 4 weeks and get one free, so far the only meals I cannot eat is the Thai chicken soup and the Thai curry as they have lemon grass in them and taste very perfumed, I had chicken fricassee last night added a small portion of rice and it was very tasty, the only down side for me is the breakfasts as I loved my Kellogs fruit and fibre, yes you can add veg, rice, pasta, and fruit in small quantities.

You are supposed to keep to the meals they provide but you can have a ordinary meal if you are going out or like me I go to Lesley once a week, but you have to keep as much to their portions as you can, there is a great choice of meals especially the dinners, and so far other than the Thai one they have all been very tasty, I had mushroom stroganoff tonight and added a small portion of rice, very tasty, so far not felt hungry at all.

Glad it's going well Billie. Are you sticking to just that and not snacking
in between ? I see you said that they are going to change the ones
with Lemon grass in. That's excellent. No point in paying all that money
if you don't like it. Do you get any choice ? or is it just a case of getting
what they send.

They have a very large menu to choose from Steph, 33 dinners, 17 soups and 4 milk shakes for lunch, 4 granolas and 5 porridges for breakfast, and 10 different snack choices, all I add is veg and fruit and a slice of wholemeal bread with the soup, also the thing I really like is there are no chinese, and only 3 curries.

Hang on in there, Billie. It may take your body a while to adjust especially if you're actually eating more. As long as you are eating less calories though, you will lose.

Yes, keep on in there Billie because as Lorraine so rightly says, it takes a while for a body to adjust to different eating habits.

a bit disappointing billie but as patty and lorraine have said, stick at it , you might have a massive weight loss when it does finally decide to leave you . normally ,you see, the initial weight loss of any slimmer is excess body fluids ,you take water pills and other meds that will make you not retain that extra fluid so it will not show up immediately in any dietary changes

I know I lost all the fluid in the first week before I started the diet, and have been on high diuretic since, I have to stick at it for two months at least so hope I willl lose more in that time.

Well again zilch, nada, none, not an ounce even, and I am keeping strictly to the diet so much so I am now craving for cream cakes, biccies, and chocolate, but will carry on and see if as Kim says I might have a big loss next week.

Post by supergran Sun 14 Nov 2010 - 21:19

Well it gets worse, no loss but a lb gain, and I have been sticking religiously to the meals, only problem I find is I am actually eating more than I would normally, especially the soups, they are so thick I have to water them down to make them edible, anyway the second lot has arrived so I will carry on till they are finished then will give it a miss and try something else maybe, we think it really is lack of excersise that is my problem but until I can get about with out gasping for breath or nearly falling over then I'm afraid thats a no no, so unless something dramatic happens this is my last post on here.

Oh Billie, so sorry you're not getting the results that you were expecting. I know how hard it is to shift the weight (although I have a good deal more than you to lose). You are right about the exercise; that's what is working for me; but I totally understand that it's not that simple for you.

Do you swim? It might be a more gentle form of exercise that would leave you less out of breath? Just a thought.
