Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Well, very disappointed today. I only lost 1lb and I actually can't understand why. Still, it's better than nothing, so I shall plod on.
Down to 13st 1lb so I have actually lost ½ stone in 12 days, which I'm pleased about.
I've had a couple of red days this week and I'm not sure they're the best for me (plus some chocolate). With green days I know I'm getting no fat, so will probably stick to those.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Lorraine, that 1 lb is much better than putting a pound on, so stick with it! There are all sorts of reasons you slow up just for one week.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
probably because you had had that bug, once recovering you put some of it back as you came into health, then lost it with the diet, if that makes sense.
I found if I didnt do some red days I didnt lose weight, they are much harder I think, but you seem to need to do a mix. or at any rate I did.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Yes, and when I think about it, my body probably thought it had lost enough last week, so was going to hang on for a bit, lol. Half stone in 12 days is pretty good.

Good stuff, keep it up, half a stone is not just seeable on the scales, it's feelable around the waistband. Well done.

Well I take it back. I watched 'Will my crash diet kill me' again tonight and 1 bloke lost 1st 1lb in 7 days! He wasn't even that big to start with. Some other women on other diets they were trying for the progaramme lost about 1lb a day.
BUt if you loose it too quickly it often returns Lorraine, so steady is better.
I need to loose at least another half a stone before the ball I go to in March so I can get MY DRESS on. I have lost 4lb so far but I have been doing loads of exercise so thought I would have lost more. It takes sooooo long for me to loose any weight. SW just doesn't seem to be working anymore.
Cabbage soup diet is looking quite tempting, lol
Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Cabbage soup!!!!! Noooooooooooooo, lol.
Don't forget, Jo (like so many people do) that if you're exercising, you are building muscle tone...muscle weighs more than fat, so your weight loss will appear to be slower.
I keep talking about starting some exercise, but I don't usually until I've lost quite a bit of weight and then I try to tone up what's left, lol.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Hope you are keeping at it Lorraine.
Jo cabbage soup NO Thanks, but soup is a great way to feel full for longer. some Uni team tried it out with the army, half had a meal as usual and half had same food liquidised, the half who had the liquid/soup lasted longer on exercise than the meal. yet they all had exactly the same.
My veg soup receipe. 1 pack of frozen stew pack, 5 tsp Swiss bouillon (green tub orange lid) 1 1/2 liters water. all into a lager pan bring to the boil, simmer for 10-15 mins. Liquidise, serve. I freeze this in portions and Stacy takes it out the night before and takes it to work when she wants.
Hope if you try this you like it. so easy.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Your welcome. Stacy likes it and she is really fussy, also it was 0 points on the old WW not sure what it is on the new but as its only the bouillon it can't be much.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
I take homemade soup almost everyday to work for my lunch. I use the Bouillon too Scatty. The cabbage soup is actually full of veg and onions as well as cabbage, very windy!
Lorraine, broccili soup can be made same way. Use one frozen bag of broccoli and just enough stock to cover it. I add a potato to just thicken it a bit. Cook, whiz and voila. You can add a bit of blue cheese when you serve if your not on a diet.
Todays soup was ministrone SW style. I didn't use all the recipe as didn't have it all.
1 onion, 2 carrots, 2 sticks celery, garlic,(all chopped small) 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 tin cannelini beans, 1 1/4 pint water. Cook for 15 mins, add some chopped green cabbage and 2oz broken spaghetti for about 8 mins then eat. There was supposed to be bacon in it too. Only problem with taking it in my flask was the spaghetti swelled so much it was more like stew.
Often make parsnip too, just onion, parsnips and stock and butternut squash is another fave. Although I have run out of homegrown ones now. I even got a soup cookery book in my secret santa from work, lol.
I am not keen on the stew packs as I don't like swede/turnip. I wish I did but keep trying it and really don't,lol.

Re: ROUND THREE!!!!
Well, that's given me food for thought (no pun intended) I rarely make soup or even think about it. Nic makes it regularly, so I reckon I better get cracking.
Don't know what bouillon is, so will probably use Bovril chicken or beef.
