Cards for a cause Empty Cards for a cause

I have seen a few places that organise cards to be sent to troops serving abroad, in order that they can send them home to their loved ones, but they all seem to be geared towards the army.

Today I heard about a group that are sending cards to an RAF base, and since I know a couple of you have RAF connections, thought you might be interested... Here is the website. I for one will be making a card or two for them.

Great cause Tina, and as you say good that this happens not just for the Army. Will try to get motivated and do some for them.

LOL I was just thinking ooh that's a good idea and then I read RAF, and inwardly groaned, LOL we have both in our family but more RAF I suppose, when it reads army it usually means forces anyway for things like that so anyone out theredoes get them unless it specifies a regiment.
Have you got a link for the workers too, or just the shirkers LOL

well, this lady has a contact with a Flight Sergeant on a base in Afghanistan, which is where these cards go...doubt there's much opportunity for shirking there Wink

It's the RAF that's all they do LOL
I just asked her if it's too late for Easter cards and this was the reply;

No its not too late hun. Hoping to get them on their way in 2 wks time. I am moving this weekend so no chance to get them ready any earlier.

The only change to the address is Flat 14a instead o Flat 14b

Oh this is great thanks it gives me a reason to make cards again, it makes a nice change to see for the RAF and not always the army, cause they are out there as well.
