Crocs Empty Crocs

Post by Guest Sat 11 Oct 2008 - 20:43

I took this the weekend that Tim and I were left in charge of the kids while Kerry and Simon went to the Reading Festival.

The proud wearers of their first ever Crocs!

I've never left so much space on a LO before and I'm not sure I like it. Maybe if I'd used a prettier colour as the background I might be more happy with it.

Anyway, I'm not changing it now! Mr Green

Well I love all that space - it just sets the rest off perfectly!

I think it's perfect, the eye is drawn straight to the photo and the happy little faces, then explores the rest. A neutral background is usually good to do exactly what you've done. The girls are pretty enough on their own.
Should be submitted for publication I reckon.
I love the stamping? behind the blossoms.

You could have put this in the 'out of your comfort zone' thread, Bobs. Mr Green

As it happens though, I love it and think the colours are super. Very Happy

Blimey, no one's ever wanted to scraplift one of my LO's before! Of course you can, Maria!

The big 'C' is textured Grungeboard and I just ran a green Distress Ink pad across it.

The 'stamping' behind the flowers is actually a big rubon that looked blurdy awful once I'd done it, so the flowers were put there to hide it! lol!

sorry to be dense, but were the green circles already on the C then? and did you cut it out of grungeboard or did you buy it 'whole' ,

I look forward to buysing some of this grungeboard when Im in the Uk - it wasnt out last year when i was there.

Yes, Maria - the circles are already embossed on the Grungeboard. You can also get diamond-shapes, swirls and a couple more too, I think. The alphabet sets (where my 'c' came from) have multiple letters of varying shapes and sizes. They just have to be popped out and that's it. I love the stuff!
