The dress!
Here it is. Originally planned as a shirred (smocked) long sundress, and then at Rachel's request a bit more fitted (as much as we could given that she's shaped like a pipecleaner ) and a lot shorter (not to mention ready in time for tonight's party!!). Scatty supervised the sewing in of the zip last night and gave me loads of helpful tips!
.
This was taken first ting this morning, poor kid got told to get changed and stand and pose, she wasn't very awake!

Re: The dress!
Thank you! Rachel is really into black and white, so I knew I had to buy it for her (she wasn't with me when I bought it).
Next clothing project will be some summer tops for Molly.

Well done Tina. What a super job. It's lovely as well as practical
and wearable.
And Rachel looks lovely. She's grown since we met.

What a pretty dress and an even prettier girl ... what a beauty. Well done on the sewing - the first of many, I suspect.

Re: The dress!
Ooooooo Tina make me a dress!!! lol
Gorgeous, both dress and girly! Though jealous of the fact she can still get away with wearing a dress sans bra!
Hope you'll take a pic of her all dressed up!

Re: The dress!
Wow i wish I looked half that good when I've just got up. Terrific dress and a pretty girl, both very lovely.
Well done you, I think it looks better than a shirred one would, If I recall, finishing off the ends of shirred rows is a pain as you don't want them to undo, so you either double back, which can misshape or you tie in all the ehds of each row, snore.

I didn't see her . We dropped her off at 10.30 this morning, then they were being taken to have their faces and nails done, followed by the meal and a sleepover tonight. We won't get to see her until tomorrow morning; hopefully someone will have taken a pic though.
