Wedding outfit

im not being naughty !!! i just did not think you coulkd easily do jersey on a normal machine . im going to try it now though ,once they tell me what stitch to use ...if they do ..they may not now !!

it would be good to start on some tee shirt sleeves i have that i cannot wear as they are waaay too long

A lot of the modern machines have a setting on them that do stretchy stitches Kim, which are for the jersey and stretchy materials used so often today. Have a look in your instruchions to see if your machine has that setting, I will dig out my booklet and let you know what mine says. The old way of doing it is with parchment/greaseproof paper between all layers to let the machine move it through the feeders and it not to slip against itself, that just tears off when the seam is done. Thats how I learnt to do but the stretchy stitches are a doddle.

will search out my book and take a look see if i have one . i should have as the machine is not very olod and cost an arm and a leg ,its a special quilters one though so might not have such a thing . its about time i got it out again .
..and here i am making a quilt and doing hand sewing when i have a special quilters machine ..patty in the end i got some bright "old mcdonanld had a farm" fabric ,totally swayed by the nice bright colours once i strated looking ..and have you seen my siggy yet ?
