Re: Planting Lupins
Afraid I can't help you there, Billie: lupins are one thing I don't think I've ever grown.

Re: Planting Lupins
If I remember rightly lupins die back for the winter and apper again in the spring.
We (at work) get in small plants in the spring to be planted out in the garden as soon as you get them home.
If its in a magazine Billie then it should have a posting to you date which might help.

Re: Planting Lupins
I would of said around April would be the time to plant them out Billie, like Scatty said they die right down in the winter. If you do get some for next year just keep an eye on them as sometimes the slugs/snails strip them to the ground. I have to put pellets around mine.

Re: Planting Lupins
Yep, Spring Billie. Definitely. Mine are just dying back now but don't put them in the ground over winter when they're not established. Once established, they should spread well and be quite hardy. Nearly all my plants got fed with rose food this year and it seems to have worked rather well, lol. Lupins were a plant I always had trouble growing years ago. Crap soil I think.
