Tangled Star...and more.

Well, after Mia and Aidan..it's my turn and this is the start of my quilt.  The 12 inch block is made up of 4 6 inch blocks.  Maybe I should have started with something a tad simpler but you know me!  In at the deep end, pmsl.  Hopefully, I will get to finish it although gawd knows how long it's going to take me.

A nice easy project indeed!

You've had me thinking all day Lynda and I've changed my mind. Maybe 24 blocks of this would be too much, so yes, I'm going to make a sampler instead.

Thats lovely Lorraine, I think you could make this with 23 other design blocks into a full quilt for yourself. That way you will get to do lots of different styles before joining them all together as a sampler quilt.   

Did think that myself, Lorraine - plus you'll get to try out loads more blocks!

Lorraine, the best site it have found for quilt blocks is 'quilters cache' by Marcia Horne, it has pretty much every block there is, including loads of her own designs. You might lose a day or so looking though, so you have been warned!!!

One to look at a few times to work out what goes where, great stuff, love it, yes might be a bit dizzy making to have a whole quilt like that, however I am rubbish as seeing the big picture with these patterns and with a plain strip between each blog might look very different. I expect you have the cyber nous to make a virtual quilt and see how it looks before cutting in to more fabric, enjoying this thread, more of yours too Tina.

This is the new one.  I'm much happier with the pale fabric being in there.  I've screwed up the centre points, but hey ho! For once, I've decided I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Oooh yes, much prefer that 2nd one, easier to see the pieces and movement in it without the patterned outer shapes. great job.

Love the second one, too, Lorraine. As for the centre points: sew a button there. Quilts look really good with buttons at strategic points, a lot of people do it.

Good idea Lynda.  I've made a few blocks now, but I'm not going to show you them all until the end.  Just the odd one.  I've also done a Double Windmill and a Fox and Geese variation and I'm nearly finished a Storm at Sea.

This is Goose in the Pond.  WHO thinks up these names, lol.

I think most of the names are sort of lost in antiquity, Lorraine - probably meant something at the time!

This is beautiful and love the colours. Must say it looks quite difficult though.

It's a darned sight harder than I thought it was going to be Cynthia, lol. Reckon I'll go back to dressmaking - it's soooooo much easier.

Looks very fiddle, especially for machine stitching. Pretty though.

Here's a couple more. I've got 11 done now and there's 20 needed for the centre of my quilt. I'm thinking I might change the design and use a few less, pmsl.
