August Upload
I'm sure I've put pics of LO's in more recently than march, but that's what it says, so forgive me if some of these are duplicates.
ATDML Cyber Crop this weekend, I didn't buy any of the kits, well I didn't even know it was on until Friday but I did have some scraps of some of the papers they were using and others I just used my own stash with the classes as inspiration. It's a film theme, I have heard of some of them LOL
The Color Purple, one scrap of the recommended papers used.
This one used sunburst paper, I made my own which of course makes 2 pages, hence a DLO
I think you've seen this older one
A grid LO using none of their papers,
just scraps box.
Another older one
A UKS sketch challenge
The original class uses a wooden house frame, but I didn't have pictures with a house theme so I made a paper tent instead; Glastonbury
Some cards using scraps

Re: August Upload
Aww karelyn, what a treat - I am so glad you had a nice scrappy time, i find it very therapeutic. I have downloaded alot of those classes. I dont think it matters that we havent got the same kits etc.
I love the purple one best, super colour on that but you were clever making your sunburst paper, i didnt do that one because i didnt have anything suitable. How did you make it exactly?
I dont remember seeing the one on the blue boards (celebrate) before. I like your grid one better than theirs - your papers go better togehter and hers looked a bit scribbly, but then im not a fan of doodling. Great idea for the glastonbury one, again, i just looked and thought 'oh, i hvent got that, cant do it' but actually i could make a frame just like you did so am going to go back and downloand that class too.
Lovely cards as well, my favourite is the sara one.
well done and thanks for showing !!

Re: August Upload
Oh wow they are all fabulous, I like the tent one especially. I miss scrapping so much but barely seem to find time to make a card these days let alone scrap, scrapping was always something I did in company, might see if an old crop I used to go to still takes place.
Re: August Upload
Well exactly isn't something I do well Maria, my sunburst is definitely roughly;
You need 2 pieces of backing paper/card and 2 colours for your sunburst, one of mine is textured.
Knowing that it's on off centre centre if that makes sense, and it would be covered by a photo I didn't worry too much about where the points met.
Have a look online at a bit of sunburst paper. I'd used some before so had an idea of hoe it went.
I drew pencil lines on the back of a sheet starting just off one corner and measured nothing, I went round the page going in from the edge to my off centre, some are wider than others. then number the segments
Then I used temporary adhesive to stick 2 sheets of contrasting/similar colour together, cut through both at once keeping them in numbered order when they separate from the main sheet and stick down to 2 pieces (alternating the top and bottom/colours sheets of paper) of spare card.
I used the backs of 2 sheets I didn't think I'd use.
I didn't worry that there was a very small gap where they met as I knew my photo would go there.
Hope that helps.
Great idea Ruth, there must be a crop somewhere near that you can go to. I do feel better for scrapping.

Re: August Upload
Love them, and my favourite one is the tent!
I haven't scrapped for ages, and really need to , especially now I have almost sorted everything into my scrap wardrobe thingy. Just need to clear the desk part.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

Re: August Upload
This is where challenges come in handy, they take my mind off the stack of pics and focus on the task/colours/idea.
Or you could just get your daughter to choose you one pic or a group of 3 to kick start you.
