Fiskars Threading Water punch
I have recently bought this wonderful edging tool, which turns plain paper/cardstock/vellum into something special. I used it on my "This is My Greece" layout if you want to look at the results. Here's a picture of the actual tool and I can honestly say I am really delighted with it. It is simple to use, as the markings along the top mean you can align the scallops easily so you get no breaks in a 12" edge - presumably you could go on ad infinitum if you wished!!!
Well worth the £10.95 it cost me. Will pay for itself by saving on having to buy scalloped edge cardstock (well, that was my reasoning anyway!!!)

I too have a couple of the Border punches (I think I sent Maria some bits done with one) and for your sake I hope they've made them better now. That one looks really nice though, I must say.
The old blue ones seem to get stuck in the paper a lot. Mind you, it looks that that one will punch through card and the blue one's wouldn't.

Re: Fiskars Threading Water punch
I love it too, I seem to be forever cutting scallops out.

I have 2 or 3 of these border punches, I hardly use them but they are good.

Re: Fiskars Threading Water punch
Spooky, someone was asking if anyone had one of these at the crop I went to yesterday, and they did. I was expecting something really dramatic, and still can't see what it has to do with water. However, I'd be impressed if my mum got me one as a pressie (she's sometimes very good like that), looks v useful.

Re: Fiskars Threading Water punch
i think !!!! well its only my thoughts no one elses , but the water bit might be the scallop that imitates waves ie water , then the punched holes are where you can thread ribbon through .....can you tell that i have wondered where the name comes from too

Re: Fiskars Threading Water punch
So have I - personally, I thought it was supposed to be "treading" not "threading" but I agree about the waves on the shore. Whatever it is, it works a treat on card of all thicknesses as well as papers. I love it!

It wouldn't be easy Heather, these punches aren't like Martha Stewart ones. Maybe with a bit of fiddling, you could.

OK. I actually have a couple of these and just assumed you could'nt do corners, but just thought maybe I was mistaken.

Best corner rounder in the world is the Crop-a-dile Corner Chomper which my DD bought for me some time ago. Wouldn't be without it!
