Garden visitor Empty Garden visitor

Rescued this tiny visitor today. It was on the patio so I moved it onto the garden out of way before it got stepped on or a bird found it.

Slow worm. About three inches long and not much thicker than a piece of spaghetti.

You can compare against snail shell.

Don't see man of those nowadays, we were always finding them when we were kids, not sure I've seen one this small though.

What a year, don't know if I'm coming or going, although going hasn't happened very often.

We very occasionally see an adult one, and it's usually Tony who spots one and he cannot even go near them lol.
