My friend's handmade face mask for Halloween
My friend Scotti in Massachusetts has been making her own masks, both from fabric she has around the house and the odd fat quarter if she sees one she likes. This is the one she's made for Halloween (you know they make more of it over there):
She says it's dual-purpose, as the backing fabric is autumn leaves, so she'll just wear it the other way round when Halloween is over.
Edited to say: she's also made a hair-clip in the shape of a spider, but didn't think I'd post that in case there's anyone here who hates them.

Thought you'd like it, Ruth!
Needless to say, Scotti is a crafter - that's how we got to know one another.

Striking, great fabric but not sure I'd want people staring at my face to look at it. I bet it's popular in US though, liking the hair clip idea.
