Crop Layouts Empty Crop Layouts

Post by WeirdCat Mon 15 Dec 2008 - 10:53

Made 3 layouts yesterday. the first uses American Crafts Moda bella papers, ribbons etc plus added flowers. This was my first trip abroad without my mum and dad, a last minute spur of the moment decision of me and my mate Viv. We got there to find it was mainly old folk in our hotel but our first night out we met Simone and Max and had a fabulous holiday with them and their friends. They were both gorgeous and expert in the art of seducing but we were both well aware what their game was and were in no danger of tears at take off as we were just about to go off to uni and sample the male delights there!LOL.

The second is Christmas '87, typical student Christmas, big earrings, tinsel headdresses and the cat me and my ex husband (pictured with top of head chopped off) smuggled into our no pets house. No idea who the bloke on the wall is, came to the conclusion at the crop it may have been tom Cruise as top Gun was out around that time. Luxe papers and doodlebug sugar coated card plus thickers

The last is a picture of Sam and his cousin Natasha. I'm not sure if you can see that he is looking at my mum out of the corner of his eye before he bashes his cousin over the head with a hammer!! fancy pants-The daily Grind papers used

I can easily pick a favourite (!!) the top one wins hands and then the second one coems second. So lovely to hear these stories and to see these moments captured in time. The cat looks gorgeous. Like the tank top on Tom Cruise (or wheover)! I think its so nice to preserve these memories and snapshots of time. I bet you enjoyed doing them too.

did you keep the cat?

just took another look , was that spotty blue paper made like that( bottom pic) or did you draw round with the curly bits then cut it all out ,,,fiddly work if you did , but i love it , might try that myself sometime

i think the tom cruise man looks a bit like simon cowell does now , but minus the black sweater

The spotty bit was part of a 12x12 sheet, but I cut it out and by halfway round I wish I hadn't bothered!LOL

Maria, the cat went to live with the ex in laws for the summer and he disappeared. I like to think he found a better life for himself elsewhere because I don't like the alternatives. I couldn't bring him home with me because we already had two cats plus my ex was planning on taking him back to uni for his final year after the summer.
