Candles part 2 Empty Candles part 2

I have made one candle then messed up the second and burnt my finger into the bargain so I have a slightly dodgy pooh bear candle for home use. Anyway what is the brown paper is baking parchment, greaseproof paper or is there anything else that can be used if anyone can remember Claire's instructions?

It's greaseproof paper, Ruth.

Hope the finger isn't too sore!

Yep - it's greaseproof paper! I was very surprised if you remember when I opened the box as all the previous stuff I'd had was white, but this was definitely greaseproof paper and not baking parchment.

You can use proper 'waxed paper' if you can find it, but I think that's not really available in the UK any more.

Thanks Claire, have instructed my mum to bring me some tomorrow, she usually has these things stashed away, actually I may have some.

I tried waxed paper in the states and found it not to be as good as greaseproof! You can pretty much use greaseproof a couple of time, but the wax paper it tends to take some of the colour off the image!

Well this idiot has just realised she screwed up the rest of the tissue paper she had when she picked up all the raggedy bits. Got to see if i have any stashed around the house now. I doubt it though

Safmat however is a good cheats alternative to tissue though and know finger burning required, not so good if it is a stamped image though but hey I'm happy to print!
