Great colours and lovely puppy, the rose framed takes my fancy too. Now there's a phrase you don't here much these days.

Oh how well I remember those days. Do you remember one time when you, Twizzy and I were all in the same bed trying to keep warm with endless jumpers on??

LOL, we were trying to coax the dog up onto the sofa too so we could share her warmth. I notice I was even drinking red wine to try to keep the cold out.

i love it..but i am sure you and twizz didn't try 'everything to get warm' with your mum in the bed... Very Happy

i would have just put the heating up...if you didn't have any, you should have just made friends with your neighbours and sat in their house... Twisted Evil

Lovely layouit, nice to see such nice colours together this time of year.

GOATY!!!! actually the time Patty is refferring to was in THIS house (photo is in the other one) where we also didnt have heating and so we tried to heat just the room we were living in with a parrafin heater (we all huddled under the duvet sitting on the bed cos there wasnt any other furniture in there and the telly was in there too)Noone told us that parrafin heaters put the same amount of moisture back in the air that you burn and all the clothes and shoes went mouldy in the wardrobe!

yeah well i wouldnt want to go back to that - 2 winters we went through that. call me soft if you like, but I was brought up in a centrally heated house and it gets mighty cold here in the winter (we are talking 5 or 6 degrees INDOORS).

We were very naive. We looked at maybe 20 houses here and not one had central heating, so we figured 'ahh, it obviously doent get that cold in winter' . it wasnt that at all, its just that they are all hardy farming types and DIY revolution never happened here and they are 50 years behind in such things.

No neighbours goaty, thats the trouble with that plan!

DH put the heating in himself because the cost of getting it done was prohibitive. Its oil heating too so not very economical to run but we definitely couldnt manage any other way.

i could not cope long without central heating...and becasue of some of our kids at school needing lots of heat, our class is really warm..slight problem..when you go into other classes its colder..and bugs breed real good in our class.
I would need a log fire in each room without central heating and a lumberjack as a hubby..hmmm i must persuade hubby that i need a log fire...
