Twinchies Puzzle

My 2nd’s in language and also in dream.
My 3rd is a letter that’s followed by O
My 4th is in gone but not in go.
My 5th is in pylon but not in pole
My 6th is in chasm but not in hole.
My 7th’s in word and also in rhyme
My 8th is in Dalek but not in time.
My 9th starts a month that ends with a Y
MY 10th’s not in pig but it is in sty.
My 11th is in everywhere quads you can see
My 12th’s not in BOGOF but it is in free.
My whole is an entity made up of friends
With loads of good wishes that everyone sends.

i thought some would get confused when T for twinchies wasn't the first letter. as the heading was twinchies.

perhaps someone will email me/pm what they think is the answer? I give them a yay or nay

well I didnt mean that - just that I didnt realise it was a puzzle to be solved as such. I just thought you had been clever with making the rhyme up to go with it.

well i have not got a clue what it means , ive never been able to do these things , not even in kids puzzle books . so does that mean im thick then , does it confirm my suspicions ?????

OK Kim. Here goes. There is a clue in each line. Lets take the 5th line for example:-
1-The letter required for the answer is in the word PYLON
2-the letter is not is not in the word POLE
3-Eliminate the common letters in both words = PO
4-Choose from the remaining 3 letters. = YL or N.
5-Put your answer on the 5th space in the bottom dashes.

_ _ _ _ (NYL) _ _ _ _ ._ . _ . _ S
1-2-3-4--5---6-7-8-9-10-11-12.
Afer working out from the 12 lines of clues, place your chosen letters on the appropriate dash and it will spell out the answer to 'TWINCHIES'

When trying to solve these puzzles I usually write them down like this with the choice of letters above the dash:-

R.A.P.-.C
M.E.S.I.K
1 .2 3 4 5
_ _ _ _ _
M.U.S.I.C
the answer would be MUSIC and would be found amongst a proceeding rhyme.

Kim I was just in the middle of putting the way to solve them up for you and you beat me to posting.
