Newbie beads.....
Okay peeps, please be gentle with me, this is the first time I have shared these with anyone
My first attempt at co-ordinated beads; they are actually chocolate, pink and cream, but I haven't caught the pink very well in the photo. All different sizes ('cos it's flipping hard to make them all the same size; once you have finished one you have to put it away, you can't keep it out for reference!)
]
Next is a huuugenormous focal bead; Phil says it reminds him of a Foxs glacier mint
My first 'proper' attempt at a set of matching beads (Moo Cows? LOL)
and finally, my very favourites....

They are all gorgeous but especially the last ones. How long does it take you to do them?

Not really timed it, but I suppose 1/2 hour for a complicated one, and 5 or 10 minutes for the teeny spacers; it depends on the glass I use, some is quicker to melt. Sometimes they just 'work' and others I have to keep reworking. It takes at least 2 hours to anneal them in the kiln, but I have been doing them in batches when I have a kiln full.
I'm very excited as my 'lentil press' should arrive tomorrow; not sure how long it will take me to get to grips with it, but watch this space for lentil-shaped beads sometime soon!

Aw I want to do some. I think they are all fantastic. I love the fave's, but i also love the top ones. I don't mind odd beads as I use them in my felt and clay necklaces. I think they are great Tina, keep practising.
I did find some courses that weren't too far from here but need to think about it, lol.
