I love men in hats. I bought Tim a new straw panama and persuaded him to let me take a photograph of him ....
I think he looks rather yummy! :-)

Re: Tim
Great photo Bobs. After seeing this and those of Jodie, I reckon you could take this up as a money paying hobby at least.

I'd love to, Di - but I just don't have the confidence. I'd be terrified in case I took a whole set of carp shots! Lol

Re: Tim
A stunningly superb photo, Bobs. Tim looks wonderful.
The pose is perfect, the lighting superb, the tones excellent and it's as sharp as a tack.
One of your best, hun.
Funny, I remember not so long ago, you didn't really know how to take a good pic, lol. Look at you now! Brilliant.
What set up did you use, Bobs?

Re: Tim
Lorraine - it's taken in the house, beside the patio doors because the natural light is fab. Tim's standing about 2ft from the wall.
Exposure: 1/125
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO:100
Focal Length: 47mm
No flash
Manual focus
He was going to cut the grass and didn't want his photo taken (he never does!), but I told him I wouldn't take long, so he said ok. I took four shots in quick succession - and this was the last one!
So from set-up to completion took around 40 seconds! Lol

Re: Tim
Well Bobs, so glad I came on here late this evening just before bed because there it is, a glorious photo of my very own toyboy - and he looks delish! My Ken always wears a Panama, so it just goes to show he has taste! Superb photo by the way, even putting aside the dishy subject.

Re: Tim
I was wondering if it was natural light. It really is a stunning photo, Bobs. I keep coming back for another look, lol. Were you in Aperture Priority with manual focus or totally manual? Like the low ISO too, good choice. I'm forever forgetting to lower mine and shoot with it too high. It makes a big difference as you know.
I love the colour too. It's neither b/w or sepia...sort of in between (on my monitor anyway).
You should be well proud of this one.

Re: Tim
I was in Aperture Priority with manual focus.
Funny you should mention the ISO ...... I usually forget to lower it too, but I actually remembered to do it yesterday! Lol It really has made a difference.
It is tinted sepia, but I lowered the saturation so it wasn't so obvious.
And yes, although I shouldn't admit it, I am proud of it. lol

Re: Tim
Well, I think you should send it somewhere. I'm absolutely sure it's good enough for some sort of comp, Bobs.
And you should admit it. You've every right to be proud. Hey, I'm the first to blow my own trumpet when I come up with something brilliant. (although, it's not that often ).

Superb, Bobs - not that I know anything about photographs, but the subject matter looks pretty good! Maybe you should have this as your avatar?

That is a great pgoto Bobs as Lorraine said I'm sure there must be a competition you can enter it in, or maybe Tim wouldn't like to think loads of people were looking at his picture.
