Clean Slate AGAIN !!!! Empty Clean Slate AGAIN !!!!

Thought I might as well be the first to put my weight loss/gain story in here. Very Happy

I went back to weight watchers tonight after missing 3 weeks, for the three weeks prior to that I gained weight each week. 2lb then 3lb then 2lb and this week 4.5lb. So not good at all. Sad

I am back to 16st 12lb.

When I joined last September with renewed effort and will power I was 17st 4lb. So at least I am still 6lb lighter.

To be honest I am mightly pee'd off with myself. I knew I was eating the crap and likely to be putting it on, but now I am very annoyed with myself for wasting all that money and effort over the last year.

So with this in mind, and attempting to keep it to the front of my mind, I am starting FRESH.

On the card I currently have I have got 10 weeks til its full. I have set myself a target of losing 1 stone by the end of the card. affraid

So who's joining me then, we'll lose weight together and keep each other on the straight road.

Done ok so far today, had weetabix for breakfast but had to have full milk cos I hadn't got skimmed.

Salad and Naan bread (ww) for lunch with a tub of strawberries

Chicken/Prawn Fajita mix with pasta for tea.

Am having a small bag of pretzel sticks when I go downstairs, but this is going to be counted. I was good really cos Asda were selling big bags of them and I did pick one up, mentally trying to work out how many points I thought it might be, but then I spotted the smaller bags....so just had to have one. I've got 8 points left so far anyway so should be ok.

Tomorrow's lunch idea is out of the window though because at dinnertime one of the CSAs was bringing round a list of what sandwiches staff wanted for Friday lunch, turns out that everyone gets something and all sit in the staff room to eat it. Someone (they take it in turns) brings puddings. Hhmmmmm a few points there then. So long as I am good for the main part for the week its bound to be a better week than it has been.

I put 4 pounds on whilst away so also have to start again. I am 1 and 1/2 over my target limit, so eed to be good this week or I will have to start paying again!

Well despite all my good intentions this week has not been brilliant, we had a party on Saturday which was all the usual buffet foods. I've treid to eat sensibly the other times, and probably done ok, but not great.

I've had to re-think going to WW cos of the costs. We have been trying sort our finances today, so decided that if I cancel the WW monthly pass its £18 a month that I have got back on my housekeeping, but Martin and I are going to try and do it together on our own. I've got all the bumpf so I don't see why we can't. Its a relief to be honest, its been a bit of pressure I didn't need. I will keep going until 18th October as that is when current monthly pass runs out. But then from the half term onwards we are on our own.

So I will need all your help from then on, cos I will need pushing and pushing to try to lose a bit more.

I read with interest Bobs comment on what the Nurse had said to her about accepting ourselves and she's right. I worked it out that at the end of this month I will have been going on and off to slimming classes for 17 years. I have lost weight every single time, and then when I stop going the weight piles back on. When I aren't trying and I just do my usual day to day stuff I find I am always between 16.6 and 17.0 so roughly half a stone difference. This has been the same for at least 10 years, so that must be me !!!!! However, I would like to lose that stone that I lost last year cos i did feel better without it. Mr Green

my gp put me on the gi diet karin and it means that you are constantly full , and i really enjoyed what i was eating .its easy to understand too . google it thats what i did ,and you can still have a bit of chocolate on it as long as its cadburys dairy milk or snicker , within reason of course . biscuits ,crisps and cake are a no no though , but what i was doing was eating and drinking whatever i liked on a saturday and sunday , monday to friday i stuck to it rigidly , the nurse who was weighing me said it was a good plan , and i lost quite a bit of weight fairly quickly , 12lb in 7 or 8 weeks , i would not have done that at sw .
to be honest the specialists i have seen , wether at renal , heart or other clinics all poopoo the ww and sw , say they just make you obsessed with food and make you eat more than you would normally , so good idea to stop wasting your money.
the gi might cost a bit to start off as meusli is the big thing and berries in it , but i went to lidl and bought their meusli which is silly price cheapness and so tasty then mixed in some blueberries and chopped apricots and stuff to give the bits that sustain the energy

I really really can't get motivated. I was doing really well at the start of the year for a couple of weeks and then had that fall on the ice. It knocked me for six (no pun intended) and I've lost the plot since then. But every Monday morning I look at the scales and feel awful that I haven't tried again.

I know that I've put on a few more pounds because my clothes aren't fitting properly and I seem to be back to the old faithful clothes. The boring ones.

Grrrrrr, must must must get in the mood.
