Re: CJ CHAT
Maybe we put the CJ on hold for a while and do some mini book type projects for those who were eager beavers, like the tag book that was done a year or so back??
I will quite gladly host a tag book or other kind of mini book swap for those who fancy it while I'm not working!

Re: CJ CHAT
Dont feel bad Steph (we dont want another person beating themselves up, its bad enough that Lorraine is!)
I can tell you that if it waits until after Christmas then I would defintiely join.

Re: CJ CHAT
I'm with you there Maria, I loved the cj's I've done, but it's all a bit soon for me, I think I'm going to find work pretty full on to start with at least, and I don't want to begrudge the time for a cj, it's just not the right attitude.
I know it's taken a lot for you to say this Lorraine, but to me you are one of the, if not the master CJers and it would be a big loss to the group if you weren't able to join in, but it's not right if you really haven't got your heart in it.

Re: CJ CHAT
Thank God for that, I can't even make a card at the moment and was beginning to panic about the CJ, I agree with what others have said there is too much going on for some of us and a fair bit of out of sortsness with others of us. If it's put on hold and something to look forward to in the future it can be timed better for a few people, Kate, for example will, fingers crossed, have a job and know how much time she can commit. A retreat every other year, a CJ every other year.

Kate had better bl**dy have a job soon or she's gonna have to give up crafting when she eventually runs out of craft stuff
Re: CJ CHAT
she can come and have a rummage in mine can't ya Kate.
i have so much stuff i am thinking about opening up a shop...
Lorraine, i am not involved in the CJ, so I dont have avested interest in CJ's, I would love to..but time and circumstances prevent...but you must not feel pressured by us...you pressure yourself more than enough already on our behalf.
Also, the expense of posting might get a bit much before xmas...

Re: CJ CHAT
I'm looking forward to doing the CJ and as Steph has said I hope I haven't pushed you into setting this one up when you didn't really feel like it (the main reason I have prepared mine is because I have had the summer holidays to do it and to be able to do what I WANT to do rather then things I HAVE to do) but this CJ will happen when it happens, whether that be next week, next month or next year and it is much better with more people. I would rather wait and have more people who want to be doing it then rush it and have people feel resentful or not want to take part anymore.

Re: CJ CHAT
Well, all I can say is thank you, girls.
I really am sorry to have messed you about, but it appears that a few are happier if it's put off a bit, so I do feel a bit better about that.
So....we wait then.

Re: CJ CHAT
I'm not liking you losing sleep over this Lou, I'm happy to leave it and perhaps pick it back up when the time is right.
I was thinking the other day of a swap that Goaty did which was a mini book/Cj type of thing where we made the pages and sent them to Susie, we made up our album which we kept and just added the pages when they arrived.
I thought it could work with a CJ just sending one double page a month directly to the person thus each CJer receiving their double page a month of their book.
Rules and colour schemes can be set in advance and see what everyone comes up with at the end.
It would be a lot of fun colluding with other members by private msg as to which subjects to avoid for duplicates.
It's just me throwing a lightbulb moment into things if it would work/all liked it and when we're ready.

Re: CJ CHAT
I have done these deco page CJ's a few times now and they seem to work fine. Its just you dont get to see other contributions until the end. Although one forum I am on they post up each time they have done a set so you can see their work along the way. Not quite the same as being able tro touch the book and admire the work.
they are much cheaper on postage and less chance of them going missing.

OK, girls. Let's get this ball rolling again eh?
Anybody else want to join?
Karelyn, what about you now?
Kate, you've got a job, so are you going to join now too?
I will leave sign up close until 6th December and then get the circle and posting dates up. First posting will be in January.

Re: CJ CHAT
I'll be fine, hun.
I've got to do something to get me out of this rut.
I'm so glad you're ready now.
I was thinking end of January anyway, as I doubt some of us will have time to do much this month anyway. I won't as I still have to force myself to make a C card, lol and make my Secret Santa gift too.
If Kate and Karelyn join in now too, that will be our 12. However, you two...DON'T feel pressured and don't join if you really don't want to.

Re: CJ CHAT
I still want to join in but agree with Maria about the end of Jan. I want to get Christmas
out of the way. I think more will be inclined to go for it then.

If you had an outlet to sell them, I would definately donate some cards
to your fund. I can't even sell here for you as I haven't got anywhere
to sell them. The offer if there though and I'm sure others would join in.
Could you sell them at a local market or any gathering ?

Re: CJ CHAT
Yes, count me in, I'll be fine by then, must get a bit of a headstart on the ATC's coming up over Christmas before I do the cj but, that's a good break for me.
Will look forward to it.

Re: CJ CHAT
Ummmm, not sure what you mean, hun? There's no rules in the first/original post in this thread.
There is a Themes and Rules thread and 7 of you have posted your theme in there. Could the other 5 please get that done by the end of this month? I've deleted some unneccessary posts from the end of that thread, so if any of you want to edit what you've already done, just edit your original post.
Once I've got the circle and posting dates up, I'll clarify any other rules or instructions although to be honest, I can't see that there are any that you don't already know.
