ALPHA-2L..(August).. ATC swap

August
This is the continuation of our ALPHA-2 ATC swap
. . . . . . . . . . . . . Alphabetical ATC swap.
This months (August) title will be: ALPHA-2L. . . . . . folowed by ALPHA-M-N and so on.
This ALPHA-2 started in September 2008 and I will run this swap for the full alphabet.
Each month will have a 'Sign Up By Date' and a 'Get It To Me Date'.
To join in you will need to make 4 portrait style identical (or as near as possible) ATCs. . measuring 2.1/2" x 3.1/2"

. . . . 'Get it to me Date' for ALPHA-2L = . . Tuesday August 25th (the last Tuesday)

The reason for making 4 ATCs is, so that when your swaps returned you you will receive your own Number 1 of 4 (1/4) back each month and 3 of other peoples to collect. This gives us all chance to collect 4 complete alphabets whilst keeping a memento of our own Arty work to peruse for further ideas.
If you save the received swaps in a 9 pocket collectors page it is nice to able to view a 3 month swap on each page.

Amullree, there is no sign-up for 'Fullers' anyway. I thought you had forgotten.

Got 2 PINKYs (Di & SueD) this morning and 1 from Steph yesterday. All put on the received list now.

Girls, it's nice to get the little notes you pop in the middle pocket of the 9 pocket ATC postal page.
Amullree says she is well into collecting her rubbish for our future TRASH ATC swap.

I hope you are all doing the same?
I am but I think I might have to drink or eat a bit more of one of a certain brand.

In my stash so far, I have 4 empty packs from ice cream cones and some other bits and bobs.
The hardest bit is going to get four bits out of one, or collecting 4 the same.

Ah Steph, we have plenty of time to collect.

Having said what I did, and even with what I have already collected
I already have about three very possible ideas - it will probably be hard to choose.

I don't think it 'TRASH' will be a theme before Xmas, so that would give ust the Christmas rubbish as well.
I think it would be a good theme to start the new year with, do you Steph?

Exc ellent - I thought 4 of each oft used pack would be ok, but then I
thought if I want to decopage I'll need more, so more time to collect. I
think I have already decided on my trash theme.

I meant to ask - do we just have to use trash or can we use other
embellishments as well ?

Steph, using some 'Trash' will be the main object of making these but I think
we will have to add something else to make them look good.
Unless of course, we use our 'Trash' as the backer card?

I have ideas for mine, and my bit of 'Trash' will be plonk in the middle
with a suitable drawing around it, unless I change my mind before next year.

Thank you all for returning any re-usable PINKYs to me and also for getting your ATCs to me on time.

Mine arrived this morning I have Lauren's Love with lovely blingy letters, and beads which I think look a bit like alien eyes, and I think are terrific, beautifully neat and the little hearts are so pretty. Also Sue's Lilac and lace, another tactile one, very pretty, and a gorgeous decoupaged lighthouse by Steph some very fiddly work done on that.
I'm a very happy teddy, thanks girls.

So glad you liked Lauren's offering Karelyn. Last month I cut the pieces on the guillotine
but this time she had no help whatsoever.
Hope mine come tomorrow (although post has come later that 1.30 on many
occasions so perhaps there's still a chance for today.

Top row = Me Teabag, (My title = Lost Luggage) it is kinetic a s the 'Lanfair' opens out to the full name.. Di .. (Title I think was Lemon & Lime) nice idea for letter 'L' .. Joy, a stamped and coloured Lily..
Middle row = Lauren, one of our latest recruits. (a nice neetly made 'Love' ATC).. Amullree, (sweet lace overlaid on a lilac background with a strip of dainty flower down the middle).. Steph, I kept one (a nicely decoupaged lighthouse).. Barbara18, (a lot of 'L's - leaf, lilac flowers, letter and a capital L on a golden background)..
Bottom row = Natalie [Nimble Fingers], our second new recruit I kept one (Title = Simply Leaf!) a very daintily made Pergamano ATC. those of you who received one (I kept one) will see that I twiddled the letters L.E.A.F around to make it portrait style.. Mistyrat, I kept one (title = Left Luggage) rubber stamped. great minds think alike eh, I like that stamp and I've seen it somewhere else this month.. last but not least is
Thriftycrafter, I kept one (title = Girls Like Lacy Lingerie) especially Auzzie Naughty Nighties I love the material the lingerie is made of with cute little straps too. I think I have some but a different colour.

LOL for L my nightie/slip is meant to be the other way up but I quite like it like this Nona.
The leaf looks gorgeous, and Llanfair, very clever.

Oh what a laugh thrifty I'm sure you wouldn't wear it like that! The mind boggles.
I just try to get a suitable colour backgound that will enhance all of our ATCs so I really
need to keep an eye on the right-way-ups as well.

I kept one of yours because I like the use of the pink stuff you made the nighty of, I can't remember its name, please tell us.
