Deaver convert!!! Empty Deaver convert!!!

Post by Scrap Monkey Mon 10 Aug 2009 - 18:31

Well I noticed that you all seemed to be Deaver fans, and I had never heard of him; but I found one of his books at the Fete that we went to the other week, and thought that for 25p I could see what the attraction was...

Phil and I are hooked!!!! We both read The Cold Moon on holiday, and agree that it's the best book we have read in absolutely ages!!

If anyone hasn't read it, and would like to, let me know and I'll happily pass it on.

Sometimes sends the chills up my spine. I love his books. You've got lots of treats in
store if you are going to start reading him regularly.

Did you ever see The Bone Collector ? It was horrific but very well
made with Denzel Washington and Anjelina Jolie. DW played Deaver's
quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme, a regular character is some of JD's books.
His books are thrillers/murders/mysteries etc. They often have a twist.

Yes, this one is a Lincoln Rhyme one; more twists than a roller coaster!

Well, if he wrote the Bone Collector then I'm a convert too, so must get hold of one.

I've seen that film about 4 times, including once in the last fortnight and love it.

Do you want to read the Cold Moon next Lou? I was serious about passing it on.

I would like it if no one else is in line Tina. Haven't read that one.
I'll send postage.

How about I bring it to you? You could pass it on to Lou afterwards.

Let me know if you're free over the next couple of weeks?

That would be fab - we would get to meet at last Very Happy
then I can post onto Lorraine (thanks for that Lou)
I'm not going anywhere next couple of weeks. Just won't be around the first
week of September. Going to the New Forest and MS is going to decorate lounge for us.
Any day, anytime is good for me. It would be nice to see you before you move because I can't
see it happening afterwards Smile
