Mia's Room.... Empty Mia's Room....

Post by Lorraine Thu 3 Sep 2009 - 16:54

Before and after. There's just a rug to arrive, so hopefully tomorrow and it will be complete, and there's a lovely big poster of the Disney Princess Castle that you can't see between the wardrobe and window. The changing station in the corner will be coming out soon too.

It actually looks much better when you're stood in the room than it does on the pics (wide angle lens doesn't help). Still, it's an improvement so I hope Nic and Mia like it. Nic knew I was painting it, but hasn't a clue about what I've actually done. Mr Green

Thanks, girls. Mr Green I'm glad you like it.

They're back tonight, Kim so I'm just hoping a rug turns up today, as it's the final touch.

Mia loved it. Mr Green
There is a rug not on photos, 'cause it didn't turn up until Saturday and when I went round today, she's dotted blue felt pen all over it. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! lol. Nic has already binned the pens, lol. Honestly, what was a 2 year old doing with felt pens, eh?

The rugs too big to wash really.

I have got some really, really good stain/pen remover, but because the rug is nylon I'm a bit concerned that it will just spread it. As Mia has just dotted all over it rather than scribble, it might be best left as it could be a pattern in the skirt, lol.

How have I missed this? It's lovely, she must have been thrilled, if it's not too late try babywipes, there's not much they don't remove.
Can't believe you asked what she was doing with pens though, that's a crafter in the making! Perhaps just not in the bedroom.
The net is so pretty.

I'm shocked the pen didn't end up on the wall!

Reminds me when my mum went into my brothers room to find pink permanent marker all of the ceiling, my mum asked Rob why did he do it and Rob blamed it on my friends little brother... May of worked if Rob hadn't been holding the pen & drawing on the ceiling when my mum walked in..... lol (He had one of those high beds by the way, he wasn't just unusally tall as a kid! lol)
