a layout not of Bracken
well here's the total papercrafts one Ive been working on.
First time Ive used that distressing tool and i really liked it, but it made a heck of a mess all over the rug, my trousers, my jumper etc. all the bits stick to everything

Mia, this is one of your best ever! How well I remember those little breaks of ours on the seafront during that dreadful time. Recharged our batteries no end, didn't it? Lovely photo of you too.

Lovely photo - you do look like your Mum there.
Adore the torn papers and like the others, I think it's one of the
best you have done.

Re: a layout not of Bracken
Yes very nice, so do you stick to what's in the kit then? Why am I even asking that question?

Re: a layout not of Bracken
LOL, I admire that, I find that so hard to do, I always try to stick in something I have that will 'just go nicely' with the kit. I have trouble with sticking to a sketch or plan too. I'm going to a class on friday where I think I will have to do as I'm told as there's no time for doing my own thing and we will only have their kit, so I should come up with something good. Then my problem will be choosing pics for unknown papers and 'themes'. If it's like your kit though that would go with pretty much anything wouldn't it. What a lot of waffle, sorry.

Re: a layout not of Bracken
this is lovely, i really like the papers you've used. Does the 'tool' tear the edges then. Not sure what one of these is, or what it does. But I do like the edges.

Re: a layout not of Bracken
Yes, that's it Kim. When you started not to be able to take scissors on planes, I bought one of these same things so I could quilt on the plane, and it works for distressing papers too. Mind you, don't think it would be so good for quilting now it's been around the edges of a few bits of 12 x 12!!
