Crackle Paint??
Jen bought me a picture last year which she put in a plain wood frame on the basis that I'd decorate it.
I dont have any decopatch papers that I like to use on the frame and with the picture thats in there (fairy with a ginger cat print), think they'd be too fussy. SO was thinking a crackle effect would look good.
Can anyone tell me how to do a crackle effect or I'm sure that you can buy crackle paint, whats a good (cheap) brand??

Re: Crackle Paint??
I used Jo Sonja's in a class I did at a crop once; don't think they're that expensive. I think there are two 'parts' to it, and you paint one over the other to get the effect. Shame it was so long ago, otherwise I'd remember more

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Crackle Paint??
if i remember rightly ,you paint the first layer which is the paint ,then you give a coat of the crackle glaze ,then another coat of paint but a lot of drying time is needed between the layers .

Re: Crackle Paint??
I bought some Tim Holz crackle paint which was £4.80 and I think it had been in the shop a while as it was v dry to start off with, would look better on a large project like a frame rather than the brad I tried to use it on LOL. Worked reasonably well and one stage.

Brown under cream looks very nice, Lesley did a frame with that and it came out lovely.

Re: Crackle Paint??
So do I - I am addicted to the stuff! So much quicker than the crackle glaze lark too.
