I'm really pleased you like it(hope you aren't just being polite ) - I wasn't sure if I had made it a bit ornate. I liked it but I know some folks don't like too much decor.
You know me, I'm not that good at subtley! If I hadn't liked it I would have put something far more 'neutral/ non-commital'!
Scatty, glad you like fishy, 'twas an absolute b****er to make!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: RIBBON SWAP - JUNE 2010
Mine's arrived too, I have Lorraines and it's right up my street, a lovely quote and v sophisticated ribbon work. Thank you.

Re: RIBBON SWAP - JUNE 2010
Yes, I took photos, lol and they're in the gallery now. But...I apologise this time, 'cause they're not my best work. Think I'll stick to the white background in future.
Patty, I could have sworn I checked everyone had a name on and I was certain Kim's did. Anyway, it's hers.
Karin, yours arrived this morning, so I've kept it. It's a lovely bit of ribbon.
Now, girls. The postage. This time it was all to cock as some of the return envies didn't fit the toppers that were being sent (some odd sizes and shapes, lol) and that's why some of you got your SAE's back, so don't worry about it.
Karin, the reason yours didn't get here is because of the postage (1st class). They wanted £1.10 but my PO is great and sent it to me anyway.
So, the only thing I would say is that maybe, from now on, all swaps have a Large Packet Stamp enclosed.

Thanks Maria, although I'm not sure how much credit I can really take as the butterfly came like that, it's one of the PM felt ones which are really pretty, I just stuck the bling on it, and the other bits under it.

So glad it arrived, but very annoyed that the postage was wrong when I had weighed it too and tried it through my cardboard letter size guide I got when the PO first introduced PIP.
I usually put a large letter stamp on it cos that then puts it through the larger slot but I had run out of stamps and as it was thin ribbon figured a normal stamp on the front would have been enough. This blooming PIP is ridiculous.
Anyway, I've actually bought some large letter stamps especially for the swap. Our postie was kind too when it came to Lily's card from my parents.
So sorry lorraine. Can I just clarify something on your suggestion though.
When you say Large Packet Stamp, do you mean 'Large Letter' (which can be A4 size and upto 25mm thick. Or do you mean 'packet' which means anything else. Not being dense but it does make a difference to the way it can be posted for me.

Re: RIBBON SWAP - JUNE 2010
Karin - our local sorting office tell me that the sizing on the cardboard "prototypes" that were sent to each and every one of us are actually smaller than the plastic Post Office ones, as it was to stop people squeezing slightly larger things in. What will they think of next, I ask, with the blasted postage going up and up and up. It will soon be cheaper to get on the bus and hand-deliver it!! xxx

Well that doesn't surprise me one bit. I use my cardboard one all the time. It lives by the side of my pooter so I can check all the cards I do. I've even started doing deco cards with flatter pads unless I know I am hand delivering it.
It would definately be great if we could hand deliver. Wish they'd hurry up and invent transporter technology. Can you imagine visitng any friend anywhere in the world just to deliver a birthday card
