Relatives
Scanned and emailed these to relative found through family tree hunting, and thought you might like to see them. They are my Great Grandparents on my Dads, mothers side of the family. They knew how to stage a photo back then lol.

A slug balancer, is indeed someone sporting a large moustache as in Black Adder goes forth.
Love the paper piercing, and those papers. This is going to be a terrific album.

Re: Relatives
couple more pics, these are my Grandfathers parents. Much sterner looking pair, though the lady who showed me these originally said she was a lovely lady who was full of fun and loved children. Just as well as she had 12!! The last two were twins and the boy with her is one of them. She was 44 when they were born!

Do you mean the left Billie? Chaps are on the right.
Love the way your Dad is standing with his foot crossed over lol. And the dog was invited as well by the looks of it!
Great photo. What year was it?

weddings
The two weddings on here are two of my Grandads sisters, I love the outfits.
The couple top right are another sister and her hubby and the girl is their adopted daughter Betty(she was actually the daughter of another sister!). Betty is now in her 80s and is the person I got these pics from., she has a great memory and tells some lovely stories.
Sorry pics a bit small.

Re: Relatives
I think it belonged to the bridesmaid, if I remember when I was a kid they always had one of that breed, and the reason it was in the photo was because it was taken on the street where they lived, that where the reception was.

Re: Relatives
These are great I'm another who enjoys looking at old photos. Di the first pictures are so elegant, and it just shows photos don't tell the whole tale, if you hadn't been told differrently you might have thought the stern looking lady in the chair had a stern character.
Billie the wedding photo is great, love the dog and the fact that it's a bit more informal than some.
