Re: Which is the best
Paint.net and/or The Gimp, Billie.
Both very good and free.
I would suggest the Gimp for you though. Both will have a learning curve but there are shed loads of tutes for the Gimp plus it's been going for years.

Re: Which is the best
I have always said I need to do a PS course, Jessica Sprague has one on offer at the mo £23.20 for a 6 LO course.
Has anyone done one and if so who with, would I be better off with a general course rather than scrap based?

Re: Which is the best
I prefer Big Picture classes to JS and they're cheaper too. I would also go for a general course as a digital scrapbooking one is quite limited, but having said that, it depends what you want to learn. It might well be suitable, Karelyn.
And, there's another alternative to Photoshop now too (obviously not as powerful) for editing your photos. I think Kate was also asking recently - it's called [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and it's also a freebie.

Re: Which is the best
The problem I have is that I'm happy with my photo editing software, for general use, it's so simple, but there are things I know can be done in PS that I can't.
Will have a look at big picture, thanks.
